The ordering process through Bud's was excellent. The shipping was very quick as it showed up to my FLL about 2 days before we were expecting it. The rifle itself shows typical LE wear, and I would guess the round count to be in the 500-600 round range. However, there were two disappointments when I first opened the box. First, the stock was beat to hell. Deep gouges, chips and scratches all over it. Second, the 20 round magazine that came with the rifle was all rusted and pitted. Not a huge deal since both of these issues are easily remedied.
My first outing with the rifle was another disappointment. About 40 rounds into my shooting session with some Lake City 5.56, my firing pin broke. The rifle is now on its way back to Ruger for repair. I can't blame Bud's for the firing pin failure as it's just part of the risk when purchasing a used firearm.
I gave this product a 4 star rating because of the poor condition of the stock and magazine.

Fast shipping, beautiful wood stock looks almost new. Cleaned and oiled the gun as you should with anything used and it shoots perfect. Got some cheap ammo (steel russian) and it still shot with only few issues. Switched to more expensive brass and it shoots without any issues. Great find for anyone who wants a reliable rifle for a reasonable price.

Got one of these a few weeks ago. Took awhile for it to ship. When I got it from my FFL it was painted black all over. My FFL asked me if I wanted it? I said sure.... couple of days and a TON of elbow grease... I have a nice weapon. My brother couldn't believe the transformation. It's a well used weapon.... but with some TLC it has turned out to be well worth it.

Second time I ordered with Bud's and no problems at all. This is a great little gun, shoots well. Needed to be cleaned some and lubricated but overall, VERY pleased with the purchase. The description was accurate. Will continue to order from Buds. Love the barrel on this gun much more than the standard Mini-14. Thanks again Bud's!

Great deal as usual with buds.Shiping and transfer a breeze. A little disapointed with the firearm it self. Stripped and cleaned it everything looked great. Took it to the range and about every fifth or sixth round it would fire but cartridge would get stuck in the chamber. The next round would stand straight up and get crushed. Took it back home and apon further discovery,After taking the bolt completly apart... ( only try this if you know what you are doing) i found the extractor spring broken. So i ordered a new EXtractor spring, extractor, ejector and spring, and firing pin about $50. worth or parts from Midway USA. Reassembled With a Tapco Tactical Stock.and went back to range the following weekend. Now the mini fired about 500 rounds of both .223 and 5.56 without any issues at all. Again a used mini for the price an awesome deal.. Thanks Buds i will be buying more..
