10/22 TAKEDOWN™

•Readily separated into two halves, this gun offers a convenient transport & storage option for the popular Ruger 10/22 •Barrel & forend are easily separated from the action & buttstock by pushing a recessed lever, twisting the halves and pulling them apart •Reassembly is the reverse of takedown, and is quick & easy •Friction fit lockup of the assembly joint is simple to adjust, but will rarely need re-adjustment after the first assembly •Lockup is secure & repeatable, ensuring an accurate return to zero – even when receiver mounted optics are used •Shipped in a ballistic nylon backpack-style case that features internal sleeves that hold the separated rifle halves, & external pockets with MOLLE webbing that provide storage for magazines, ammunition, and other accessories •Multiple attachment points for the padded, single-shoulder strap offer different carrying options •Black synthetic stock •Rear sight adjustable, gold bead front •Wt.: 4.67 lbs. •OAL is 37" long when assembled; each half is less than 20-1/4" when disassembled

Easy takedown enables quick separation of the barrel from the action for ease of transportation and storage. Takedown is as simple as locking the bolt back and verifying that the rifle is unloaded, pushing a recessed lever, twisting the subassemblies and pulling them apart.

Shoots any .22LR ammo that you can find. The take-down feature is great, you can stick it in your backpack while on the trail - and doesn't take a lot of room in the safe either.

Purchased the Ruger 10/22 Takedown on layaway plan. Received the rifle the other day and used the 10 round magazine and a 25 round magazine.
I had a few FTF using the 25 round magazine. The 10 round magazine worked well. The rife is very accurate using the iron sights. Thanks Buds.

Polymer trigger group moves from side to side within the stock when you engage/disengage safety. Cleaned it up but made sure it wasnt soak in oil as rimfires seem to not like to be too wet. Gun jammed every 3 rds with factory 10 rd mag. The bx25 was even worse ! At the end of my trip to range it bent cases in half and was almost ripping the bullets out of the cases. When it slamfired on me and left a squib in the barrel that was all o could take. A novice shooter might have fired another round and caused a dangerous situation. Yes the barrel lock was adjusted properly, just seem to be feeding high. One good note was that it retained zero after breakdown (when it would fire).FTE FTF too many to count. Now I get to find out how Ruger handles warranty.
