This Rock Island is a very nice basic 1911. It features all steel construction with a 5 inch barrel, GI type sights, parkerized finish, spur hammer, short trigger, flat mainspring housing, wood grips, GI guide Rod and plug, rear only vertical cocking serrations, traditional barrel/bushing set up and 70 series firing system (no firing pin safety). These guns are inexpensive, but are very well made guns. Includes hard case and 1 ACT 8 round mag.

sal jthe gun is pretty decent for the price. im happy with it. unfortunately the second trip to the range the gun had some issues. every 20 to 50 rounds it had a hard time doing a follow up shots. sent it to RIA fixed it but now its having the some problem only every 10 to 15 rounds. sending it back again hopefully for the last time

Ben HExcellent firearm at a great price. I was hesitant tho purchase a 1911 in the sub $500 category, but I have no regrets with this purchase. I've put over 1,000 rounds though the gun, given in several good cleanings and have not missed a shot or had any failures. When i told the range office at my local range in Dallas how much i paid for it, he literally did not believe me.
