Hey guy's I'm Terry from Arizona, I purchased one of Benelli's R1 300 Win Mag and mounted a Zeiss scope to it in August 2014. Buds has been great to purchase firearms from! The R1 perform well with the right ammo, I like Winchester ammo but the R1 didn't like it. When sighting it in it with the Winchester Silvertip ammo 180 grain it move all around the target and I was on a lead sled at 200 yards. It had me scratch my head as I left the range until I remembered that an shooting instructor once told me different ammo can react differently in each weapon. So went and got Federal trophy Bonded ammo 180 grain and low and behold it was holding groups nice and tight so this is what I use in this rifle! I still like the winchester silver tips in my other rifles! The R1 300 Win Mag shoots nice and allows me to get back on target and reduces the recoil tremendously. Great Hunting rifle! Cons:It does have some weight to it after mounting a scope to it!
