I collect and display functioning firearm replicas. Nobody is fooled into thinking that this is a 159+ year old gun and to be perfectly honest, I wouldn't want to hang an actual 1860 pitted metal relic in a case on my wall anyhow. So this Uberti replica is perfect for my purposes. I also like the fact that I can grab this off the wall and shoot it whenever I like. It's intended to be handled and played with. The fit and finish is perfect. As for its historical accuracy... it matches every picture in my Civil War catalogs.

The 1860 Army Revolver from Pietta is a hoot to shoot! I love this gun! And I am impressed with the fit and finish. This is my 5th gun that I have bought from Bud's. The product has always been excellent. They ship fast. And they have the best prices. What is not to like? I highly recommend Bud's Gun Shop!

It's amazing that anyone can build a pistol this fine that sells for only $265. The trigger is as light and crisp as any modern target pistol. Cylinder lockup is tight, and the cylinder to barrel gap is impossibly narrow - it's almost impossible to see. Workmanship is excellent; even the reproduction engraving on the cylinder is clean, right down to the tiny "Engraved by W.L.Ormsby" on the cylinder. Unfortunately, the first one I received suffered from careless handling at the factory and had scratches on the sides and top of the barrel - but nowhere else, suggesting that the damage occurred before assembly. The replacement [rapidly provided by Bud's!] was much better, and only 1 digit away from the first, so this defect is not typical. Modern firearms are technical marvels and all that, but treat yourself to one of these reproductions. It's a different kind of shooting.

overall a very nice gun. It feels solid and well built, and the fitting is pretty good as well. the only negatives i noticed is the hammer seems a little tight and can occasionally catch and get stuck. I haven't shot it much so idk if this would cause a misfire or not. Also the crown of the muzzle doesnt seem completely flat but maybe im just seeing things.
