I struggled with whether to give this 4 or 5 stars. In the end, I went with 5 because the quality of the weapon is superb, but Colt's shipping them pretty naked. One magazine. Flimsy cardboard box. Old M16-A2 manual. No cleaning kit. That said, this thing rocks. As a former Marine, I have a real soft spot for the 20", and nobody does it better than Colt. The Magpul stock set is MUCH better than a standard A2 set. Solid. No goofy bump on the pistol grip (which fits NOBODY'S hands), and a huge storage compartment inside of the buttstock. Couldn't be happier there. The rifle arrived smooth and unmarred. I took it to the range with 20 loaded USGI mags and went to work. I had one double feed at about the 400-round mark. It was easily cleared, and the Colt A4 went back to work. Coupled with an ACOG, I was quickly pulling sub 1" 3-shot strings from the bench. I haven't been able to run it any further than that yet, but I've done 500 yards with this setup in the past and am confident that I can do it with this semi-auto only A4. The quick and dirty is that Colt is skimping on the extras, but they still make (made?) a fantastic weapon. Looks like they're on their way to bankruptcy, so you guys get on Buds and buy yourselves some Colts!

Nicest AR I have ever owned. Not a scratch on it any were. Nice tight fit. Colt quality. Even nicer than my older Colt M4. You get what you pay for. Was really surprised how nice it is with all the reviews talking about quality issues. None hear. My only complaint is colt has gone cheep and now only includes one magazine, and no longer includes a sling or cleaning kit. That was a little disappointing.

1st time Bud's buyer and I'm pretty sure this is my 1st time doing an internet review. I purchased my Colt on 5/15 and it arrived to my FFL on 5/19. It would have arrived sooner if I didn't purchase it on a Friday. Now on to the only bad part of the experience (And I don't think it was Buds fault). After unboxing my rifle, I tried breaking it down to take a look at the BCG. I know my way around an AR and was shocked that I couldn't get the rear take down pin to move. I thought the weapon may be different than my M&P 15 so I had two people from the FFL give it a shot. After all of us trying for 10 minutes, we were able to get it to move. Then we tried removing the charging handle and BCG, and they wouldn't budge. So we spent another 10 minutes trying to remove those using muscle and CLP. We were finally able to remove both and realized the problem. It was a dark, sticky substance that hardened and was acting basically as a paste/glue. I was really close to sending the weapon back, but the good folks from my FFL thought a good cleaning would rectify the situation and I trusted their judgement. I'm not sure if Colt typically sends Rifles out like that, but it was very frustrating. It did seem like the rifle may have been sitting for a while. I can't imagine what would've happened if I tried firing the weapon. So after getting the rifle home, struggling to break it down again, I was able to give it a thorough cleaning. The sticky substance came off very easy. I took it to the range last night and sent 120 rounds of American Eagle 855 and 193, without a single hiccup. It's a very smooth shooting gun when compared to my m&p sport, with very little recoil. After my range trip, I was very satisfied with the rifle. The finish on the outside of the receiver looks great. But on the inside of the upper, the finish is definitely fading almost to the metal. I don't think it's to the point that you wouldn't want the rifle. The Magpul furniture looks great So overall I think it's a very good rifle and definitely worth the price point that Bud has it at. This was the cheapest I could find it on the web. Some sites have this rifle listed at 1200 plus. Outside of the sticky stuff on it out the box, I'm extremely pleased with my purchase. If you're interested, it's worth the price and shoots great

Rifle is great! There were a few finish flaws but that does not matter to me because I am going to refinish the firearm in FDE anyhow. Overall a great buy. I only wish it had a better quality anodizing on the receivers and it would be nice if it had come with a FDE magazine to match all the furniture. Easy transaction with Buds, great experience with STG Firearms of Phoenix, AZ for the transfer. Overall I am pleased with my purchase.

First time working with buds an it was a breeze, will be doing business in the future. This A4 is unreal Magpul furniture fits nice an everything is tight no play anywhere. This gun was scary accurate right out of the box. Removed the factory Magpul flip ups with a 9x42 acog this gun wants to shoot that long distance. IV got it sighted in right at 300! An it wants to go more.

Another great colt product. Gun is a great quality firearm, as in having anything stamped with a pony it will always retain its value. With the added magpul furniture it is an amazing deal for your money. I would recommend this firearm from buds to anyone, cheapest on the internet!!

Terrible fit and finish. Buy something else. Finish chipped down to the aluminum in several areas including: delta ring, upper receiver, trigger guard pin hole, bolt stop pin hole. Looks like it was assembled by a first timer. Poor QC on Colts end. Buds was great as usual. Colt quality has been going downhill over the last few guns I've bought from them, and this will be the last one.

Excellent product. Condition as advertised. Factory new with factory lube on all the parts. Broke down the rifle at the FFL transfer and reviewed all the parts. No issues or concerns. Processing, Shipping, & Transfer was fast and easy. Excellent price for the gun. Very pleased.
