TAP SKS STK W/BOTTM RAIL FDE

Very good product i enjoy the adjustments that the t6 gives the shooter of all sizes the sks normal stock is fun an fine but when others want to try it out it was very hard for them to get the sights lined up accordingly! With the tapco kit my wife even likes to shoot it an she is 5'4 never shot anything let alone a 762 gun like a sks an with that said I no longer have one due to her liking it so much she wants to make it pink now!

If you're looking to upgrade your SKS and bring it into the modern world, I highly recommend this stock. Everything fits into the Tapco stock just as it would with the original stock, no sanding, grinding, drilling or cutting. The install is simple, just put everything in the way you took it out Putting the stock together is relatively easy, however a driver is recommended since you have to install the pistol grip yourself. The buffer tube for the adjustable stock does have to be hammered in (use a rubber mallet) and once its in, there's no give. My initial thought was that the top picatinny rail would come with a new tube, before buying the stock itself I did researching and found out that the tube was not included, only the cover. But you can take the old tube off and fit it to the new cover, but it is extremely difficult and there is a chance you could damage it making it useless and therefore you'd have to buy a new one anyways. I went ahead and bought a new gas tube with the Tapco cover. Mine cost $45 but saved me trouble and possibly damaging the original tube. Only thing is I had to shave of a little off of the top of the tube in order to make it fit, it's no big deal but keep it in mind. Every SKS is different so yours may not need shaving, but probably will. Also, the original fixed magazine does not fit with this stock, Tapco magazines are needed, as of 10/26/14, they are $20 (for 10's, 20's and 30's all at $20) so keep that in mind while buying this stock.
