I received my rifle last week and I must say that it is built very well. The upper and lower are tight, no wobble at all. The only thing I found was that the gas key could have been staked a little better. Finnish is top notch and the trigger is great for a combat style trigger. I have tried pmags and government issue 20 and 30 rd mags in it and they all work fine feeding snap caps. I am looking forward to shooting it. If you are looking for a 20 inch heavy bbl AR, look no further than this one. Also you cannot beat Stag Arms warranty, especially on the barrel.

Received the Model SA4 today and I must say I'm very well pleased. Broke it completely down cleaned out the excess factory lube and just gave it a good inspection before running a few rounds though it.... No slop in the pins .. goes together like a fine watch.. and no play at all when it's together...beautifully made.. nice finish. A very well made and put together AR-15. No wonder it has a lifetime warranty even the barrel is as they say infinity warranty. A tack driver right out of the box!

Received in just a little over a week's time. Arrived to my FFL in right at 2 days after it shipped. So far the rifle shoots like a champ, and I plan on setting it up just like the M16A4 I qualified with as a brand new soldier at Ft Benning, GA years ago. The rifle length gas system is a dream to shoot. Will definitely be doing business with Bud's in the future!

This is my first Stag Arms rilfe and I have to say I love it! It shoots great and eats any ammo I run through it. It's comes with a 20rd mag but I didn't use it when I was shooting. I use pmags, Brownells mags, D&H mags from Palmetto State Armory and Troy mags. All worked great without any problems in my model 4 rifle.

The feel of this rifle was not right at first. I wrote it off to me. Several days later as I was inspecting the rifle closer I noticed that the handguards were out of alignment with the sights. Then I discovered I could not remove the handguards. That was when I discovered that the A2 round handguards had been forced into a triangular A1 end cap. The hangurds were on crooked and the front of the handguard had been forcibly jammed into the end cap making removal impossible for me. This was not done accidently. It also had to pass through quality control at Stag Arms. One reason I picked this AR15 was because of the reviews here. The rifle will not align properly which means sight picture is off. Now I have to see if Stag Arms will remedy this situation. I threw away the shipping box so I also now have to try to find a box to ship this to the factory in. Why this hanguard situation was done, allowed and passed inspection I don't know but now I worry what other shortcuts may have been taken at the factory.

This Stag model 4 was shipped well packaged in a hard plastic case. Buds did great job shipping was at the dealer in 4 days. The fit and finish of the gun superb. The upper and lower fit together tight no play, absolutely none, the pins went in easy. The gun came very clean, very minimal cleaning necessary. The gun sights were dead on from the factory, no adjustment needed. I took her to the range and put 100 rounds of bulk 223 caliber 55gr federal ammo and was grouping 1.5 in at 50 yards. Iron sights. The only gripe I had about the gun was the magazine. The finish after only 8 times of use shows significant finish wear. However the magazine functions properly the feed lips were a little sharp and pinched your had during loading. So I will keep that mag as a backup only. I did run magpul pmags gen 1 & 2 in her and they were flawless. Out of the 100 rounds of cheap bulk ammo I ran I had zero issues of any kind. All in all a great rifle for $800 way better than the dpms and bushmaster rifles of similar designs. too. Not to say they were bad rifles just the quality, fit and finish, operation of the stag was better but was priced cheaper too. I would highly recommend this great rifle.

GREAT RIFLE!! Even tho I got caught in Buds computer glich causing slower shipping than normal, it was "WELL" worth the wait. After receiving the Stag Arms, I disassembled & cleaned (yes, it had been fired at the factory) the rifle then shot app. 100-150 rounds thru it without any malfunctions, & only had to make a "1 click" front sight adjustment for a 25 meter zero. This rifle is "tight" no play between lower & upper, & just seems well built. Will put a few hundred more rounds to further evaluate but so far I'm completely satisfied with the Stag Arms Model 4 rifle. & Thanks to Buds for the lowest price I could find on the internet.

I just received my new Stag Arms Model 4 rifle, and wow! Its a superbly put together rifle with exceptional fit and finish. Took it to the range and split and used .556 nsato and 223 ammo commercial grade like remington, armscor, federal. At 100 yards open sights bench rest using delievered iron sights and adjusting for no wind, I hit 3/4" moa with a 5 shot group. Stag has really put together an exepectional AR15. I have ordered the Stag Arms SA3 carbine model from Buds to go along with this beauty. Model 4 for long range and carbine for short duty. Olympic gold awarded to the Model 4 folks and an exceptional price too! Buds Firearms the best place for your 2nd amendment needs . . .
