Great gun... shot about 200 rounds of cheap 9 mm and some mixed, did not have a single problem. accuracy is good, low recoil (lack of practice and windy out) would recomend to any looking for a 9mm 1911 the only thing to the negative is the safety is a little hard to set, overall great gun.

Quality product and top notch service by Buds as always! This is my second gun from Rock Island and what it lacks in looks(finish), it makes up for in performance. From my experience Rock Islands are the pick up trucks of the gun world. If you want glitz, go Kimber but if you want a pure work horse, Rock Island is the way to go. Thanks Buds!

After firing a co-workers 1911, I had to have one. I read good reviews about Rock Island Armory 1911's, and decided to get one. This was my first time buying a firearm online, and thanks to budsgunshop.com, my order went very smooth, I received quality products at good prices, and they shipped them out super fast!
I received my 1911 today, took it home, stripped it, oiled and re-assembled it. Brought it out to try it out, put 50 rounds through it. It shoots beautifully! Very comfortable, accurate shots, I love it. The only negative is the magazine doesn't like to feed the first round in every few magazines or so. I will be buying replacements.

Conclusion: For the money, the Rock Island Armory 1911 is WELL worth it!
