Nice gun, needs to be patterned before going out in the field.

Best Buy for camo over and under! Gun has performed well Turkey hunting, Duck hunting, occasional round of sporting clays, can’t beat it for the cost.

Have already used this for dove and goose hunting and like it so far. Have a Carlson mid range up top and Carlson long range on bottom and works well. This gun with stock full chokes shot better than two of my turkey guns with 100 jebs choke tubes. Only down side to this gun is 2 shells instead of three for waterfowl but if your looking at it you are already aware of that.

Very nice looking shotgun, stiff opening action but was aware of it before buying, have not shot it yet but will shoot a couple of boxes of heavy loads thru it first off and should loosen it up. Had very fast shipping from Bud's to my dealer...very smooth transaction.

As a background to this review, ive hunted waterfowl last five seasons and upland last two seasons with the same 870. pump gun. Have never used another shotgun for this. I was looking for a new gun with a better feel and swing lighter weight since walking the fields for pheasant was getting tough with a heavy gun and also as weather resistant as possible since the salt really puts a hurtin on my 870 even with meticulous care. Ive hunted the tristar mag for upland pheasant on five occasions this fall. and took it to the skeet range once. There is a bit of a learning curve for me with this gun as its barrel is a bit shorter , which does make it easier to hunt in the field, The gun feels very natural , the swing is easy and i,ve had good sucess hunting it. The light weight is a large advantage over my old gun as i,m still able to swing onto a target even when tired at the end of a four hour hunt. I Have not hunted the largest 3.5 shells yet but will do so this winter duck hunting. The two shot gun has been a plus for me versus my three shot pump as i,m more aware of making the rounds count, Cleaned and oiled the gun well after assembly, the break open is a bit snug but not an issue and will loosen with use. No mechanical issues, everything works, camo looks very cool as well.
