Very nice pistol, shoots to aimpoint. single action trigger is very good; double action is too heavy for any accuracy. Action is smooth and works well.. Very happy overall with pistol !

I shot this revolver and like it very much. Took it to the outdoor range and although its loud there is no kick. I have no issues at all with this revolver. It looks great shoots just fine. I didnt shoot hundreds of rounds down it yet but everything to this point has been no issues at all.

First of all, thanks Bud's for the quick shipout . Great shooting out of the box. Very tight groups at 50 yards.

This is an update to an earlier review I posted about this same revolver. I finally got the repaired revolver out to the range today. I have to report it functioned flawlessly. The cylinder lockup issue seems to be gone. While I did have to send it back to Taurus twice to get it right, it is now quite right. However, I am still experiencing a little sellers remorse about the old Hi-Standard.

And, again, Bud's did their part in this deal right the first time.

I was really looking forward to this pistol. However, after having it for a while I have had issues with it. It shoots fine. It handles well. But it has also been back to Taurus twice for repair...The same repair. After I ran about 200 round through it the cylinder starting locking up. I could run about 2-3 rounds through it and then the cylinder wouldn't advance in either DA or by cocking it manually.

So, I sent it in for warranty repair, which is an easy process with Taurus. But it came back un-repaired. So, after discovering this with the range test I sent it back, again. It came back again, and I might add lightning fast - as in like two days. But I haven't had a chance to range test it again. However, this is the first new gun I ever bought that didn't function flawlessly for ever. So, Bud's did their job but Taurus, eh, we'll see...

I might add that I was reluctant to buy a Taurus even though I have heard high praise of them over the years. Maybe I got a lemon. The truth is I sold an old 60's hi-standard R-101 in 22lr to upgrade to this 22 Magnum. I really wish I had kept it and just bought this Taurus out-right. The buyers remorse wouldn't have been so bad if i still had my old pistol. Just remember, guns to guys are like shoes to girls - there is no such thing as too many.
