The GLOCK 23 Gen4, in .40, introduces revolutionary design changes to the pistol that combines compact dimensions for both open and concealed carry, with minimum weight-despite its large magazine capacity. The Modular Back Strap design lets you instantly customize its grip to adapt to an individual shooter's hand size. The surface of the frame employs the new scientifically designed, real-world-tested, Gen4 rough textured technology. Internally, the new GLOCK dual recoil spring assembly substantially increases the life of the system. A reversible magazine catch, changeable in seconds, accommodates left or right-handed operators. The G23 Gen4 in .40 caliber retains the GLOCK accessory rail for your attachments.

The G23 is all good. I have put over 500 rds of varying quality ammo through it with zero problems. The 14 round capacity of 40 cal. for the size is excellent. I did the 25 cent trigger job, an adjustable rear sight, and a Brass Stacker trapezoid slide lock on it. It is good right out of the box, but it is so easy to work on, its hard to resist tinkering. I have a Ruger revolver and a Colt 1911. My next purchase will be another Glock.

I've had this gun for a little over three months now, and it has run great. I have also purchased the components to run 9mm and .357 SIG through this G23, and it has been very reliable and accurate over about 500 rounds of various ammo. I only had one malfunction - stovepipe - and it was during the first mag I shot. The gun shipped on the seventh business day after placing the order; while I do think they could've got it out the door a little faster, shipping was free and the price of the firearm was the best I could find. All in all I'm very satisfied with my purchase - I'm rating the gun at the price I paid 5 stars, as I would trust my life with it.

As an aside: I don't understand how so many people can review firearms on this site who HAVEN'T EVEN FIRED THEM ONE TIME! This practice completely throws off the averages.

Bud's - I sincerely request site administration please delete all firearm reviews from people who give five stars but admit that they haven't fired the gun yet. These reviews are worth absolutely nothing, as one can't gauge another's experience with the functionality of a firearm based upon how it looks in the box. I believe reviewing firearms before they've even been function-tested completely devalues the averages as a whole. Again, please remove these reviews from the site as they do NOT provide any value for someone researching a purchase.

I recently purchased the Glock 23 Gen 4,
The gun is very well made, accurate out of the box, comes with 3 mags, everything you could expect from Glock. They are very reliable firearms and in my own opinion the best of the best for a self defense gun. Chambered in .40 cal with a 13 + 1 round count and fairly easy to conceal. I would highly recommend this firearm to anyone that doesn't mind a little snappy recoil and expects reliability every time you pull the trigger.
Now about Buds, their prices are well below any of our local gun dealers. Buying from Buds was easy and hassle free, fast shipping, I used their preferred FFL list for my area and all I had to do after that was wait for my gun to arrive. I will definitely purchase my next gun from Buds without a doubt. Thanks Buds for the best price and outstanding service.

First: No failures. Always goes bang. The function for the price is worth the 5 stars. Fit and finish nice, I know this gun will last.

Gripes: gun is too small for my hand. I was prepared to accept this until I felt a G22 in my hand and it just fit perfect. I am not very accurate shooting this, my hands sweat a lot and glock triggers are terrible. But its reliable, it goes boom, it will last and its good for what its good for. I am thinking of selling it to get a G22. I like that its concealable, but I'd like more out of the box accuracy. Now, I don't mean the bullet goes anywhere accept where you point it, I only mean the ergos and sights and sight radius limit its accuracy for me and my hand.

All that said, still 5 stars.
