ARMSCOR RI 1911 9MM 9RD 4 VZ FC - 9+1 Rounds

I got this pistol from Bud's in May of 2015. It was my first 1911 and I wanted a range gun to shoot 9mm. Had a variety of issues with it. By trial and error I found that it performed well when using American Eagle 115 grain FMJ rounds. Had real problems figuring out how to make it lock the slide back on the last round. I bought magazines from the site that RIA customer support recommended and they were about 50%. Finally got some mags from Wilson Combat and have never had a failure with them. The pistol is now very well broken in and fires a hundred rounds down range without incident every week. Of course, have to keep it clean. In retrospect, if I had it to do again, for my first pistol I would not be looking for the rail, the beveled magazine well, and the fiber front sight. It might be useful in the dark but the range never turns out the lights. I still really like the VZ grips.

This is my second 1911 in 9mm, and this has become my favorite 1911. Don't get me wrong still love my colt combat elite 45acp that I have owned since leaving the Marines 27yrs a go. This guns fit is surprisingly excellent the full rail and added weight makes recoil feel like I am shooting 22lr. I had some magazine issues at first that was quickly rectified directly with metalform buy some more 10rd mags from metalform they work great and if you have a issue they fix it. I changed the grips to black sunburst g10 stainless grip screws and installed a Kimber trigger. Now it looks and shoots like a gun worth much more. Great shooter highly recommend this pistol. Great price leaving you some extra $$ for some customization especially if you do it your self.

This pistol has some of the tightest tolerances I've ever seen on a production 1911, especially for its price point. I've gotten my hands on $1000 Sigs and Springfields that have waaaay more play in their fitting. Very happy with my purchase.

RIA did a fantastic job on this gun. I've shot 500+ rounds without a single problem. This gun compares very favorably to the Kimber Pro Carry II - 9mm but costs about $400 less. I would buy this gun again.

With Ammo Being so high priced these days I decided to try a 1911 in 9mm. I wanted a commander size model with Adj. sights and this RIA fit the bill.I love the look and the gun is well fit with a good finish too. Only put 100rds through it but have no complaints. I had no trouble keeping 3" groups at 25 Yards,and that's about as good as I can shoot, the gun I bet is capable of better. Buds was slow on shipping, I am A club member and paid with a Credit card to get the gun faster but it still took 9 days to get to my FFL.

Great weapon! Great service by buds as well. Shipped fast and easy within days,amazing trigger right out of the box ( less than 5 lbs.) definitely shopping from buds again and I already ordered my other ria 1911 this time in 45acp.
