Purchased this gun for my wife. Took it to a gunsmith and he did a trigger job for $50. The trigger pull is now very smooth and light. Very good for defensive shooting. Put 200 rounds through it with no issues. Very good gun for home defense.

Bought this for my wife because she won't shoot 9MM auto and higher caliber revolvers. Very nice solid gun, ,accurate out of the box, wife fired 200+ rounds no issues and light kick, she loves the gun. Used 124 grain rnfp ammo. Very pleased with the purchase and delivery/customer service was great.

I have had my Rossi 851 now for about a month. 200 rounds later with no issues. The action is tight, but I feel safe with the fact that my 10 year old has to work at getting the hammer cocked for single action. He can`t pull the trigger at all for double action. I`m sure the action will smooth out over time. The action for me is no issue at all but not as easy as an S&W. Great price on the gun, I would buy Rossi again with confidence.

As always Buds was amazing! Smooth transaction and fast shipping, you can't go wrong with Buds. The gun itself is a sweet little piece or work, built very solid and positive lockup. The hammer and trigger are amazing, and there is virtually no "wiggle" in the cylinder. I already have my eye on the 2" stainless snubbie, possibly for off-duty carry. I'm not a huge revolver fan but this gun has changed my mind. You definitely can't go wrong with the lifetime warranty and excellent customer service from Rossi, not to mentioned Rossi is owned by Taurus. All in all I am very pleased with my purchase and I am looking forward to purchasing another Rossi soon. You won't be disapointed!

Purchased the 851 from Bud's. Good and quick service.
The 851 is a sweet shooting gun. It is accurate right out of the box putting all six rounds into a 10 inch circle at 35 feet every time we shot it. The gun was purchased for my wife to keep on the night stand when I'm not home. She received professional self defense training from a sharp instructor who was also impressed with the Rossi. He had her shooting the gun double action to simulate getting into action quickly. After 24 rounds, she was making small enough patterns to assure that an attacker would be well covered.
I assume the adjustable sights are nice but we haven't had to adjust them from the factory settings.
The gun is tight, very manageable (even with +P loads), and is good looking.
The grip is perfect for my wide but short fingered hands. My wife's longer fingers make the grip slightly small so I'll be modifying it for her.
We couldn't be more pleased with this revolver. I only wish Rossi's snub nosed revolvers were lighter for easy concealed carry.
