Mine has a lot of blems on receiver and barrel. Insides are all good, and it fires fine. Was shipped in a timely manner, but the box had room for 10 rifle with no padding. That could account for all the blems. What you going to do , you roll the dice. I have reading other's feedback about not finding any blems. So 2 stars and that's for the price !

Great deal on a quality piston AR15 and super quick shipping! No significant blems to speak of and the rifle has run flawlessly for the first 200 rounds that I've put through it so far. Although I haven't shot it off a bench yet, I have noticed that this rifle does seem to be extremely accurate as well. I've told all my friends who are considering an AR to get one of these ASAP while they still can, you should too.

I received my Adams Arms Base Piston Carbine within two days of ordering! Fast and excellent shipping by BUDS yet again! Upon inspection of the carbine, my FFL and I were simply amazed by the product, especially after I disclosed to the FFL agent how much the carbine set me back!! The carbine has a few scratches around the magazine well and some very light scratches on the dust cover and that was all we could find! The gun itself is rock solid. I couldn't be happier with my purchase and will definitely shop at Buds again! This is my first purchase of an AR-15 and it compares very well to several others that I looked at while shopping at local stores. Several at the store (Big Gun Store) had worse scratches on the barrels, etc. than that of my Adams Arms Carbine. Other than the fine scratches that I have described, the gun has a little dust on it; nothing a good cleaning wont' take care of. The Carbine is not as near as heavy as I was expecting and the weight appears to be evenly dispersed. The standard hand grip is actually better than several on AR-15's that my friends have; however, I will be replacing the pistol grip with a softer Hogue grip and the forearm will be replaced with a quad rail design forearm. Overall, this is an excellent product and I would recommend it to anyone that is looking for a piston driven AR-15.

Finally got to shoot it.
The value can't be beaten. Gas piston, forward assist, and brass deflector. All at a base AR price. I would call the finish "flawless". I fired it with cheap optics. But, I can say it functioned well. After only a couple magazines...
I will say I could learn to trust it. Maybe even reach for it first.
I will probably replace the stock trigger. But, For the price. This is an awesome base AR carbine platform.

Buds got this rifle to me in 3 days, awesome Bud's, Thank you. I am prior service and have intimate knowledge of the M-16 A1, A2 and the M4. They are great weapons but have one flaw. When carbon enters the bolt area (every time you pull the trigger) it burns off any oil and leaves the carbon behind. The more you fire it the dirtier and dryer it gets. There comes a time ( about 300 to 400 rounds) when it starts malfunctioning and get worse and worst until you clean it. The gas tube can get so blocked it will not allow enough gas through to drive the bolt back. As long as you keep a M-16 clean it is a great weapon system. I have had the Adams Arms rifle for about 6 months now with about 1200 rounds of ammo from various manufacturers, Federal, Prvi Partizan, Armscor, PMC Bronze, CBC, Independence, PMC X-TAC LAP, Federal American Eagle, Lake City, UMC, HPR. I also run many different manufacturers mag with the different ammo to find what works and what doesn't. I have come to the conclusion that I am not sure, not sure what doesn't work. Every combination I put in this thing works, different ammo, different weight bullets, different type HP, BALL, AP, ballistic tip, different mags, 20 rd, 30 rd, from 5 different manufacturers. Although I like P-Mags the best. Every combination I put through this weapon works, no FTF, FTE, no misfires, no hiccups what so ever.
I put a couple drops of oil on the bolt group and ran 200+ rds, to see what if any carbon fouling and oil burn I would get. None what so ever, the bolt was still wet with oil and there was no carbon fouling at all. I was amazed at how clean the weapon was. There was what looked like a carbon mist on a small section of the bolt. However, it was not fouling as when I touched it, it jumped on my finger. There was carbon where the gas piston releases the gas but a wipe with a cloth and it is gone. I have never took such a small amount of time to clean a weapon.
I highly recommend this weapon system to anyone new or old that wants to get into the AR-15 world. This piston weapon is one of the if not the best out there.
