The Glock 34 Competition has an extended barrel, longer slide dimensions and elongated distance between sights. It features Glock's Safe Action system which provides a consistent trigger pull from the first to the last round. The frame is made of polymer with hardened steel guides. It features an ideal grip angle and low weight. The slide stop lever and the magazine catch are easily operated with the shooting hand. The matte surface minimizes light reflection. The barrel is mechanically locked and cold-hammer forged. It also has the same advanced surface treatment as the slide. Its extractor serves as a loaded chamber indicator to comply with the laws of certain states and its position may visually and physically indicate whether there is a cartridge in the chamber of the pistol.

So far function,reliability and accuracy are as expected. the only modifications I've ever done to a Glock is a steel tritium front sight and a plug for the hole in the grip behind the magazine well.

An absolute pleasure for range visits. This gun handles beautifully for me and I always end up shooting several more mags than intended due to its ease of on target nature. Course it’s built for that due to being a comp model etc but definitely a thrill to take a spin around the targets with!

Picked up from my ffl today, haven't shot it yet, but I am liking it. Buds was great as always, great communication, there was a short delay in shipping, they notified me. This is my 16th firearm purchase through them never had an issue. If this glock is as good as my g17, I know it will be a great pistol, after I replace the factory sights, with fiber optic and toss in a stainless guide rod and spring, polish the feed ramp and safety plunger. Nothing wrong with stock, I'm just picky.

This is my second Gen. 3 Glock 34. I prefer it to the later generations because I can get a better trigger pull, I can use a stainless guide rod with different weight recoil springs, and I don’t need any grip inserts. I stipple the grips on all my Glocks, so I don’t mind the smoother grip texture of the Gen. 3. I’ve used the Glock 34 for competition and duty use. The extra slide length makes a noticeable difference in my split times (no real difference between G19 and G17 according to the timer), and if you attach a standard size light to a G19 or G17, you end up with the same overall length without the benefit of the longer slide/barrel/sight radius. Not my first choice for concealed carry, but it can work; not coincidentally, it’s the same overall size as a 1911 (the G34 was designed to just fit into the gun box used in competition shooting, i.e., IDPA, which was based on the 1911).
