Heavy for a AK 12ga shotgun. Well built though. Shot everything in high brass from 7 1/2 lead shot, buckshot & slugs. No FTF or FTE. Topped it with a Red-Dot Circle on the Picitanny rail. Even shot a couple of Wood Ducks in Kisatchie National Forest with #2 steel shot. Yes, I'm aware that Ur not suppose to shoot steel shot in these guns. That was the only 2 steel shots fired in it & they were right on target. Shoots 1 oz slugs out to 50 yds with plenty of accuracy to deer hunt with. My 3 shot grp at 50 yds with 1 oz slugs were all touching a 5" circle. Deer Man Out

Purchased this gun in Feb of 2016 was very rough and would not cycle properly. Took it apart did a good cleaning job on it. The gun worked flawless. Today being 12/11/16 while deer hunting the gun had a major almost faital explosion, the dust cover all most of the components went straight up in my face along with a chunk of the stock.

Picked this gun up and was impressed. Extra mags, solid construction. After a good cleanup, I took it out on a rainy day to shoot. 100 rounds of everything I had in the house, from target loads to high power self defense. I had a couple of FTE with target loads but once I adjusted the gas block it sailed through everything. This is a big gun and the magazine can be cumbersome but overall, I gave it 5 stars. For the price, you can't go wrong.

I had no issues with high brass rounds. I wouldn't use cheap rounds with a semi-auto shotgun. This is very fun to shoot. It is pretty much the same as a saiga-12, but it feels heavier. For the price you can't go wrong.

felt very satisfied, does very well with higher quality ammo we didnt try any el cheapo ammo or birdshot as this I feel is not the purpose of this firearm, am glad we made the purchase, feels like years ago when norinco brought in all the goodies for pennies on the dollar, wish we could revisit those days. This is coming too our last chances to own this type of firearm. well worth it!!

Not happy and sending it back to century. Multiple failures including ftf, ftc, premature wear, and shell disfigurement. The common fte issue has not been so with this one but thats the only side thats up on this particular weapon.

I bought this gun thinking that it was going to need a lot of work to get to where it will work properly. Because it was very reasonably priced on the low side and it was made in China, I thought it may be a waste of money. But I decided to buy it anyway and hope for the best. When I received the gun at my FFL, the gun just looked cheap and gritty when I moved the bolt action back and forth. I was not happy at all with the gun. When I got home, I started to work on it right away. First I took the top cover out and removed the spring and everything that I could get out. I looked at the moving slide and the components that actually sit on the rails. I started my sanding process with a 1000 grit paper. I sanded the rails, the pin housing, the bullet port, the front of the hammer, etc. I oiled down the components and put it all together. I had trouble putting it together for the first time, but I managed to put it all together(and it was easy to do it second time). I tested everything making sure it was moving smoothly. It took me about two or three hours to do everything including changing out the stock to a tactical stock with a hand grip behind the trigger. The stock is a spring loaded stock to minimize kicks and it is an adjustable length stock. After the work was done, I was very excited to try this gun out. The cylinder setting was on one dot, good to shoot slugs and 00 bucks. I did not change the choke, full choke was installed at the factory and I was good with that. I also installed a Trijicon Reflex 1 x 24 scope. I bought this gun for serious home defend weapon as well as a gun range. At first I wanted to try the cheap Walmart stuff because I read a lot of reviews about the red and green no. 8 target loads not able to eject correctly or failed to eject. I also bought slugs, 00 bucks 9 shots, #2, #4, #6 and also the KO slugs. At first few rounds, I had a couple failed to feed on the green target loads, so I had to pull out magazine and got the bullets out of the gun. I noticed that one of the bullets had a dent on the side. So I replaced the 5 shot magazine with another one and shot 5 times with no problems, loaded another one, shot 5 more times, I shot all 23 of the target loads with no problems. I then loaded 10 rounds in my 10 round magazine (I bought two of them), shot all ten rounds, it was so smooth with very little kicks, it was the best feeling I ever had shooting this gun or any guns. It was so much fun. I was shooting 10 rounds, after 10 rounds, after 10 rounds, and all those times, I forgot that I was shooting a 12ga shotgun that suppose to have all kinds of problems with failed to eject. Not with my gun, I could shoot anything and it would do great, slugs, #4, #6, magnum #4, 3" and 2 3/4 in shells but mostly 2 3/4 shells, not once did I had to adjust the gas cylinder to the low pressure 2 dots. I even bought a lighter spring thinking I may have to change out the gun spring to help with shooting cheap target loads. Nope not this gun, I love this gun. I dont even know how to explain how good it feels to shoot this gun. I bought this gun about a month ago from Buds and it is the best gun for the money, period. This gun is made to last if you take care of it. I did buy the lifetime warranty from Buds, but I feel that I probably wont need it maybe 20 years from now, I may use the warranty. This gun can be used for anything, home defend, range shooting, hunting, etc. whatever, with 10 round magazines and five 5-round magazines, I am set for life. Great gun!!!!

Initial observations: Covered in cosmoline (somewhat dirty) and needed immediate cleaning Rough and slightly gritty parkerized finish Tooling and machine marks were present Came with five 5rd magazines Excellent steel cleaning kit, very sturdy and stout Came with three screw in chokes (full, modified, and cylinder) Chokes are marked with faint engravings of F (full), M (modified), and CL (cylinder) Weaver style rails, these are NOT picatinny style Excellent last round bolt hold open and bolt release controls just forward of the trigger Front ramp sight is ever so slighty canted to the left of the centerline of the bore Easy to see, non-adjustable, V notch and front ramp sights Compatible with both 2 3/4" and 3" shells Lead shot only (no steel shot) To test the reliability of the shotgun out of the box, I tested several different types of ammo totaling 100 rounds with only two malfunctions. Surprisingly, both of the malfunctions happened with 00Buckshot. One malfunction was a Failure to Feed and the other was a Failure to Eject. Military Grade 2 3/4" 00Buckshot 9 pellet (One Failure to Feed) Winchester 2 3/4" 1oz Rifled Slug Winchester 2 3/4" 00Buckshot 9 pellet (One Failure to Eject) Winchester 3" 00Buckshot 15 pellet Remington 2 3/4" 00Buckshot 9 pellet Rio 2 3/4" 00Buckshot 9 pellet *Remington 2 3/4" Heavy Game Load 7 1/2shot (only fired one 5rd mag) Final thoughts.Great value, lots of mags, three chokes, and the adjustable gas settings. I really like this gun, and despite a lot of negative reviews I would recommend this to a friend or loved one. I believe that you could trust your life with it. The cons for the shotgun are that it was dirty, had a canted sight, finish is a little rough, and it was only 98% reliable. I'm sure that if I adjusted the gas setting to #2 with the two types of ammo that malfunctioned it would have been 100% reliable. It is a little picky with ammo, but once you find that right type of ammo that works everytime, you're set.
