Easily one of my favorite rifles. I put a Leopold long eye relief scope on it and a bi-pod and everytime my range pals see it for the 1st time they're in love. It shoots great and is sexy AF IMHO

Very cool rifle, good trigger, good looks, funtions perfectly...quite pricey though. Paid 1,850 before tax four months ago and now its up to 1,910 if you pay cash...price going up faster than inflation, which is hard to imagine. I do recommend you get one if you're on the fence.

First of All it`s a Springfield M1 A. It`s beautiful in a utilitarian way, comfortable to shoot and it is accurate enough for my shooting endeavors. I will say this, it`s really loud and has a lot of blast from the muzzle devise that came with the rifle. It`s heavy ish but it functions perfectly and at the time of my purchase Springfield was giving away free mags with your purchase. It was a win win situation. I enjoy this rifle.

M1A Springfield. I think this gun speaks for itself. 308 round, well known for quality. Was shipped on the date that was stated. This will be another one of my never sell rifles.

A:Steven, can't find weather it's actually stamped 308 or 7.62×51. this can fire both 308 and 7.62×51 though. On Springfield's website they refer to this as 308 so I'd imagine it's stamped 308. You can contact Springfield at 1-800-680-6866 or you can email them at (cs@springfield-armory.com) for a definite answer. Hope this helps some.See 2 more answers | -

A:Evan, this is what Springfield says about steel cased ammo.... Avoid using steel case ammo, it is VERY hard on your chamber and can reduce the life span of your rifle...... But plenty of people have used steel cased ammo with varying results. Some say it jams often with steel cased ammo and some say it runs fine. So honestly just depends on the rifle. Personally I'd probably avoid steel cased ammo unless it's all you can find or have a bunch stocked up but I'd try to keep it to a minimum. Hope this helps.See 1 more answer | -

A:Josh, good to go in NJ as configured, just don't replace the muzzle brake with a flash hider. Not so sure it is pinned on. A threaded barrel is only 1 evil feature and you are ok. If you replace muzzle brake with a flash hider, that is the 2nd evil feature and it could put you in deep doo doo.See 2 more answers | -

A:Robert, since threaded barrel semi-auto's are not legal in NJ, you would need this model with a non threaded but pinned muzzle device : https://www.budsgunshop.com/product_info.php/products_id/11812 ------- Or non threaded with no muzzle device : https://www.budsgunshop.com/product_info.php/products_id/4043/springfield+armory+m1a+ld+std+762+%2any%2a+walnutSee 3 more answers | -

A:David, It does not appear this rifle is CT compliant. The muzzle stabilizer, as SA refers to the muzzle device as is removable and can be replaced. The barrel is threaded.. Some guys in restricted state get the muzzle device pinned or get the magazine locked in and not worry about the muzzle or the threads. Look at KGB Tactical they offer a kit to replace the magazine latch with a block or the entire trigger group with the block already installed so it is not a detachable magazine. This is the way a buddy went with his M1A in NY. But what a hassle. Not compliant in CT the way it ships.See 1 more answer | -
