Sig Sauer 556 Semi-Automatic 7.62mmX39mm 30+1 Capacity 16" B - 16" Barrel

I've had this rifle for about a year now and I'm extremely happy with it. It has been completely reliable -- no falures of any kind in about 700 rounds of various types including soft and hollow points. It has also been quite accurate out to 100 yards, but that's about as far as I have shot it. At this point it's one of my favorites. I wasn't sure about the Sig red dot which came with the rifle, but it has performed very well also. I had seen some of the negative early reviews on this rifle, but based on my experience this rifle is built well and runs like a champ. I would highly recommend.

excellent gun that's very accurate. The included sig scope easily mounts and was dead on out of the box. well made and I would recommend this version of the 556 to anyone out there looking for a 7.62 x 39 calibre rifle. Buds shipped the rifle fast and it was in perfect condition when it arrived at my FFL.

Bought this rifle after trying a friends Sig 556... However I wanted someting that was chambered for something bigger than te 223/5.56. After another recommendation from my dad I decided to go ahead and pick one up. After a while of hearing about other folk's negative expeiences with this rifle a year ago, I did have some reservations, but after getting the rifle and giving it a good session with a variety of different ammo, I can say that the purchase was well worth it. The rifle felt very familiar, comfortable, the weight was just as I liked it (not too heavy not to light). Recoil wasn't as bad as I assumed (this was the first 7.62x39 I've fired) The Red Dot Site that Sig Included also was a bit of interest, because I had read several folks trashing it. However, for what it is, I found it to be acceptable... plus it does it's intended job without fail (so far). Either way I highly recommend this rifle... I believe the causes of previous negativity related to the Sig 556 R have been addressed and it won't disappoint.

Rifle is very nice. Shoots well. I especially like the gas piston system with two positions in case of fouling. However, buyer beware. Despite the picture showing and spec saying the stock is adwjustable, this is NOT an adjustable stock model. The stock folds, but it does NOT telescope.
