This is my first firearm purchase so I don't have a great basis for comparison, but I do like this gun. Although labeled Citadel, this is a pistol made by Chiappa which I have heard some bad things about. The Hogue grips, fiber optic sights, and overall look is great. However, the two magazines that come with it are pretty poor being made out of some sort of plastic polymer and the few reviews out their on this gun claim it can stovepipe or jam when you load more than 4 or 5 rounds into a single magazine. I've only shot 10 rounds through it, but everything went smoothly. Note that the ammo was CCI. Also, the trigger pull is about 9 lbs which is makes it a bit rough and spongy. For the price, I would say the Citadel is worth it, but some other similarly priced 1911 .22s may be of better quality.
