I bought this gun on layaway for $504.00 and saw it drop to $459.00 I did the buy safe and it was a bit of paperwork. The people at buy safe walked me through it and I did get a check for the difference! As for the gun it's a nice well made steel gun! I got about 150 rounds down the pipe. It's had its teething pains, but it's a tight gun and gets better as you shoot it. The main thing to remember with this gun is its most effective in the 10 to 15 yard range. After that it takes some compensation to hit the mark. I still think for the money it's a great gun. I ordered a brother of it the ria officers in 9. So I hope that one is just as good. I can't say this is just as good as my kimbers, sti, dan Wesson, sigs, or Colt. Then again it does it's job as a farm gun, so I'm glad I got it. Buds was great as usual!

I took it apart and cleaned it. Was a little different to take down but followed the instructions in the book and it was easy. The fit and finish is very nice. The pistol feels good in your hand. I took the pistol out and put a mix of 75 rounds through it. Some Federal 230gr HP, CCI Blazer 230gr steel case and Magtech 230gr. I had one FTF on the CCI and no issues with the HP ammo. Very accurate right out of the box at 25 yards.

WOW! I'm very impressed! First of all, Bud's was awesome! The ordering process online was quick and easy. I ordered the gun on Sunday and it was at my FFL in Colorado on Tuesday! This was my 5th order from Bud's and not the last! Now the gun. I was a little reluctant to order the Citadel, but I read the reviews and rolled the dice. WOW! I got the gun home and cleaned off all the packing oil and got her all shined up. I could not see any issues at all. Everything worked as it should and there was no scratches or tool marks. I took the Citadel to the range last night and this is where it really gets good! At about 4 yards, I put 21 rounds through the X! My group was a 2 inch hole! This is the most accurate pistol I've shot!!! I then ran a new target out to about 8 yards and got a 3 inch hole smack in middle right where I was aiming! I finished with running the target all the way out, about 15 yards and kept all shots in the black! Sweet for a 3.5" barrel! No FTF or FTE, worked flawlessly. Also, shipped with two 7 round magazines....the description said two 6 round magazines, so that was a nice surprise. I sold my SIG P250 Subcompact in .45 for this Citadel and for me, the feel in my hand, the trigger pull and the accuracy beats the SIG! The Citadel is now my new CCW carry gun. Don't be leery about the low price, or that the gun is made in the Philippines! This is a quality firearm!

Was able to get mine out to shoot for the first time yesterday. Between my son, daughters boyfriends and myself. We ran over 300 rounds of reloaded185jhp's and 230 ball ammo through it, without a hiccup one. Accuracy averaged 3" or so @ 25yrds more than adequate for what this weapon is designed for. Only draw back was it flings empties everywhere, including a few that bounced off our heads. Not a big deal unless you reload.First impression is worth every penny and then some!

First buy from Buds...Great
Gun was better than i expected for the price.
Trigger is very crisp and smooth.
Very accurate at 7 yards..
Take down is slightly different than other 1911s but not bad.
Well balanced gun great buy for the price.
