I was very suprised that it came with a hard case and cut out foam, the pistol shoots very well had to change the grips but the wood ones were ok, planning on getting another one in SS finish.

First off I have no issues with Buds. They do mean it will take five business days before shipping if using echeck but on the fifth day the gun was shipped and arrived at the gun dealer's in two days.

The next day it was off to the range to try it out and I took my Desert Eagle 1911G for comparison. The RIA feels just as solid as the DE in my hand and I hit the target as accurately with it as with the DE. I shot a box of PMC fmj and a box of Estate fmj through each of the guns using the mag that came with the RIA, a couple of new McCormicks from Buds, Wilson Combat and the DE mags. I did experience eight failures to load in the RIA but no other problems and do not believe any of those were due to any of the mags as I had no trouble at all using them in the DE. I consider it as part of a break-in period for the RIA and a possible need to give the ramp a good polishing.

Considering the price of the RIA I am very pleased with the purchase and wouldn't hesitate to buy another.

Finally got to the range after receiving my 1911 tactical. Was lucky, found one in stock one day and got my order in. Fast shipping, mine came with the large case. Cleaned it first, comes heavily oiled in a sealed plastic bag. Machining is impressive, very soild. Ordered two more Act mags and broke them in today. 50 rounds of Rem UMC, no issues. 50 rounds of Blazer FMJ alum casing, three FTL. 25 rounds of Federal Hi-SHOK JHP, one FTL (all 230 gr.). I attribute them to the ammo used. Pattern is slightly low and left, not unusual, will adjust for that. Very pleased, can't beat the price, this a very nice handgun. Highly recommended.
