After waiting for the redundancy of Maryland state law, I picked this baby up from my FFL and could not wait to get to the range. This gun not only feels great in your hands but firing was truly a pleasure! I had one failure to eject and two failure to feed however that was right out of the box, no cleaning except to wipe smudges off the nice chrome finish. Recoil was very manageable with one hand firing for a .45 and after a couple mags I had zero FTF or FTE. Seems the more you fire it she smooths out nicely. The only complaint I have is the sights, I personally prefer night sights but other then that I get compliments at the range and questions like "how much, $8-900"? when I tell them the price their eyes get big as saucers! Thanks Bud's!!

Bought the Girsan .45ACP Sport SS. Buds service was promt as usual. I remember seeing a couple of Turkish military officers attached to ISAF forces in Afghanistan carrying as a sidearm. When I saw how much this was going for, I couldn't pass it up. I was determined to put it through abuse to see how it holds up. Pistol is pretty solid. No rattling of loose parts. After easy dis assembly and a good cleaning, it was time for the range. I ran 600 rounds of ammo through it. Sights were off a little, but nothing a little adjusting can't fix. Pretty dirty after range trip. Definitely worth keeping. Will be getting get the parkerized sport model. Can't beat Buds price.

Experience with Buds was great. The Girsan is a great looking gun and seems to function well for the most part. I'm having issues with the last round jammng on both the mag that came with the gun as well as with the Chip McCormick Match Grades I just got. I was shooting winchester white box. Seems it may be an ammo/case length issue as some Hornady rounds seem to cycle fine, well in the CMC magazines as least, I was getting nose dives on the factory mag if it's full. Being that it's my first 1911, I'm still getting used to the heavier trigger, but it shot about an inch low at 7 yards off of a shooting block. Hopefully some of the feed issues will work themselves out once the gun loosens up. It does have a tight slide, bushing was tight to the barrel, and the barrel seems to lock down correctly. The trigger was a bit grainy at first, but is pretty crisp after some time at the range. For the price, it's a good gun.

Of course no problems with BUDS. The gun is GREAT! This is my first 1911 so I can't compare it to others but the pistol is solid. Just holding it and racking the slide you can tell that it is well made. I bought the gun despite all my co-workers telling me not to, simply because they had never heard of Girsan and I am really glad that I didn't listen to them. The video's that I watched prior to buying this gun said that the internals, etc. on this gun were comparable if not better to that of guns that cost twice as much and I believe it. I have not one bad thing to say about this gun. I've shot probably about 500 rounds of steel cased TULA ammunition through it without one single FTE. I would recommend this gun to others without hesitation.

Not much else to say other than... What a great gun. Looks great. shoots great. Pretty stiff overall out of the box until broke in, but that goes for pretty much any 1911. Make sure to CLEAN VERY WELL upon receiving. Heavily oiled.
