I got the gun in on Wednesday, broke it down and cleaned it very good. I am new to the 1911 style and wanted to start off with something in the lower price range. In saying that let me say how pleased I am with this purchase, this is a well built and nice shooting gun. I ran two clips through it yesterday without a flaw. My 14 year old soon shot it a few times and he even said how good it felt. I gave this gun a good rating and would recommend it to a friend. Receiving the gun took longer than I expected but if you will be patient it will get to you, thanks Buds

i was looking for a well priced, solid, compact 1911 and this is all of that. i have fired about 150 rounds of various bullets and loads since i got the pitsol without much issue. a few hangups on the ramp and one stovepipe. dig deal right? its a very well finished pistol. the finish is the same if not better then a SA. after reading all the reviews i was a little worried about how it would perform. i cleaned the snot out of it as soon as i got it, and then oiled it very well and it shoots fine. grouping with all loads and weight bullets at 50 feet was no more then 3 inches at worse. its a real tack driver!

I was a little skeptical at first but then I went with what I felt was right and it was the american tactical very very nice pistol fit and finish great for the price it is most excellent piece I own a kimber as well and the craftsmanship is close in my opinion went to the range and push through 200 rounds not a jam at all very accurate pistol just have to watch out for the egaction of the shells had a couple hit me in the 4 head other then that I would highly recommend this piece

I was drawn to this pistol due to its reasonable price and size, since I do most of my own work on my pistols I figured what ever was lacking I could repair. Big mistake... I have owned other pistols made in the Phillipine's and have been generally happy and figured the ATI would be similar. That was a bad assumption, you will need to replace the spring with either a Kimber or Colt Defender a $50-$75 cost just to insure the gun fires when you pull the trigger, second expense, replace the clip which is poorly made. Third expense, the coating on the gun is about as durable as chalk, you will need to Dura Coat or Cera-coat the pistol. I carried the pistol a total of 8 hours and it looked 5 years old at the end of the day. Lastly, do yourself a favor, Google the ATI Titan (Buds does not give you the model name) you will find similar comments. Given all the above factors, I took the pistol to my local gun shop and traded it for a Glock 30, trade value $275! Lets do the math, $503 with shipping + $30 for the transfer plus an additional $200 for the Glock 30, so if you want to spend $733 for a Glock 30 this is the way to go!! Spend the money on a better gun, or do what I did and loose $450 bucks in a week on a poorly made pistol.

This is one sweet 1911. Just background, I'm no expert, but I have 4 handguns, my other 1911 is a S&W 1911sc. I just put about 50 rounds through the ATI with no problems.

I wonder if some of the early difficulties folks are having is due to not cleaning it well enough. It's one dirty gun when delivered, not just the oil, but a bit gritty. I spent a lot of time cleaning it before shooting for the first time. Lots of solvent, practically gave it a bath, a wire brush, and Q-tips, among other things. Once I made sure all areas were clean, including the mag, I oiled it and worked it for a little while. Then cleaned and oiled it again just to be sure.

Looks great, feels great, and shoots great. So far, I'm really happy with this gun.
