The P-3AT has five main component groups: barrel, slide, firing mechanism, grip, and magazine. The barrel is made of SAE 4140 ordnance steel, heat treated to 48 HRC. The slide is also 4140 steel, and contains the firing pin and the extractor. The rectangular frame is machined from solid 7075-T6 aluminum and houses the firing mechanism. The trigger connects via a transfer bar to the hammer. The hammer is driven by a novel free floating extension spring. The light weight firing pin transmits the energy of the hammer to ignite the primer. After firing, the hammer block holds the hammer away from the firing pin, providing a mechanical safety.

Fastest shipping time ever from Buds!! Ordered Monday evening and I received it Wednesday evening, same week. As usual Buds is awesome! Love the little Keltec, it fits nice in the pocket and also on my ankle while on duty. I had a Ruger LCP but traded it and bought the Keltec, well worth it. The Keltec is rugged and dependable, and $100 cheaper than the LCP. Great backup/CCW gun for the money.

Shot a couple mags full....Functioned perfectly...Used FMJ only, don't know about HP...I did a polish and tuneup on it and its smooth as silk..If you but one, polish it up before using and you should be happy..Sets in the pocket nicely..Worth the money...Need to fire more rounds to prove reliabilty but initial exam is good

Ordered this gun on a Sunday afternoon and Bud's got it to my dealer the next Wed. Great service. This little 380 will make a really nice pocket gun and lighter then some of the others on the market and cheaper also. The gun performed very well with no problems. 75 rounds of range ammo and then 25 rounds of defense ammo and not one misfire, jam or FTF, everything went thru it fine with no issues. Have 2 Kel-Tec's now and both have been great.

I was uncertain about buying this gun because of the many bad reviews I have read and the many negative comments on the internet. I bought it anyway. When I opened the box I immediatly knew that this was a gun that would need work. Bad finish, mold parting lines, etc. Then I racked the slide to remove the safety plug. The rack stayed open. I knew this gun did not have a slide stop, so something was wrong. After two hours of pushing, shoving, cursing, etc. it still would not close. With the help of a special tool called a mallet, it closed. Then, it would not come apart. I removed the assembly pin and could not budge the slide off of the frame. New gun, mind you. The same special tool solved that problem. As I inspected the parts and discovered that the barrel was BIGGER than the slide chamber. If you pushed HARD, you could install the barrel into the slide. Once in, it bound up and I had to beat it out. Another 2 or three hours with a Dremel, crocus cloth, buffing wheels, etc. I had hand fitted the slide to the barrel. It worked. Off to the range I went. I shot FMJ, hallow points that looked like ashtrays, and other random rounds. Guess what? Not ONE problem in 100 rounds. AND, it shoots exactly where you point it. Not high, not low, not left or right. A 5 shot 7 yard group of hollow points resulted in three holes touching and two very near. So now, I think it's a great gun if you like to work on guns. Keltec builds cheap guns, (sorry, LOW COST) but even cheap guns should have better quality control. Made in the USA? In my case, it was made twice n the USA. I did have fun repairing it, however!
