The Bersa Thunder 380 appeared to be in good condition when examined at
pickup, however, when attempting to remove the slide and spring of the pistol, neither I nor the FFL
dealer could get it to come apart until about the 10th try. I should have returned it at this point, but
we were able to put it back together and remove the slide and spring a couple more times so thought
it was just new and stiff. After accepting and taking it home, amd working the slide a number of times I now notice that rub marks are appearing
on the barrel viewed at the cartridge ejection port. The slide appears to be rubbing the barrel where it shouldn't.
I guess I got the Bersa Thunder 380 that slipped by inspection at
the factory. I will now have to contact Bersa and see how they handle the warranty treatment.
The price of the pistol had gone down while pistol was in transit, so I will find out how the Buy Safe guarantee
on price protection works on getting a refund for the difference. It seems like it is always something,
I have bought 4 firearms from Buds previously, and have been satisfied.
