Love this 15rd Bersa Thunder + ....combined with Inceptor ARX ammo, it makes a nice defensive package for the Ladies or the elderly. I use it concealed for security @ church.

Really like this pistol to carry wish they made one just like it in a 9mm. I like the 15rd part.

It took a few extra days once I paid it off to ship but that's expected these days due to all this Covid 19 going on, it arrived at my FFL and I picked it up and on the way home I stopped by the Local Range and ran a box of S&B 92gr. FMJ thru it ,slow fire and rapid fire and it never jammed, the weight of this little jewel feels about the same as my Ruger SR40. Gun was a bit dirty inside when I received it but no big deal this was probably due to the storage, took it home afterwards broke it down cleaned it up and ready now for the next shooting.

I have owned a Bersa Thunder single stack before. It is the gun I used for my concealed carry class. I liked the gun but unfortunately had a few FTFs while shooting. Later I decided to get a smaller 380 for CC and eventually the Ruger LC9S became my primary carry. I also have the Beretta 92 FS that I like for 9 mm range fire. I decided I wanted to use something different for my range fire on the 380, therefore this purchase. I remembered I enjoyed shooting the Bersa before and considered it for my range gun (the concealed carry Taurus is a little snappy and no fun to take down to clean). There are a lot of choices for this use of the 380. I initially focused on the Walther PPK/S and the price and perceived difficulty in shooting turned me off. Internet complaints turned me off of the others. My main concerns about the Bersa were FTFs like before and the potential size of the grip since it is a double stack. However, the double stack 15 round magazine is also a big plus for either range or SD, The reasonable price of the Bersa prevailed. Initial range results found that the grip did fill my hand but it is smaller than my Beretta 92 FS and is NOT a problem for me. FTFs is another problem. I had 6 FTFs with the first mag. I cleared the first with a tap to the slide, but the other 5 had to have the slide pulled back and the bullet removed. At the end of the mag, the 5 were loaded into the mag and fired without incident. The ammo used in my first mag were Fiocchi. I examined this ammo and where the casing meets the bullet the casing feels like it had a lip or perceived edge (that i assume was snagging}. So I switched to Federal American shells which felt very smooth at the casing / bullet junction. I fired 3 mags of this ammo without any failure. I just don't think polishing the ramp will help and might even harm so will just use the Fiocchi bullets for something else. Also, the case came with a broken and missing tab. The tab was not in the box so I assume it was shipped by Bud's this way. First ever disappointment. Thought about contacting Bud's for a replacement but the case is so poorly made, it was not worth it. Oh shot the Bersa very well at 7 yards.

This gun is incredible. Because if it’s metal frame Combined with the caliber, there is nearly no recoil. Before I even adjusted the sights, I was hitting spot on. It is my new favorite by far.

I took it to the range and several rounds failed to feed. Even when racking it by hand you can feel the gun struggles to feed. Not happy

This gun was a surprise--in a good way. Years ago, I owned a gun that as many of you know, looks nearly identical to this--the famous Walther PPKs. The similarities end there. This gun is a million times superior to the PPKs in every way. While the Walther had a HORRIBLE trigger in both double and single action, this one has a trigger that surprised and shocked me in its smoothness and how light the double-action pull was. Simply amazing! Put 200 rounds through it with no problems. Recoil, as expected on the 380 round, was not a problem at all, even on this smaller frame. In fact, one of my only complaints about this gun and the PPK is that they don't offer it in a 9mm. The frame could easily handle it, and I have a Remington R51 that is about the same size and handles the 9mm round well. The other complaint I had about this gun is the poor value. Despite the good price, it comes with only one factory magazine. I'm sorry, but in this day and age I expect more. Two mags should be the absolute minimum. Aside from that, the gun is great and the trigger alone justified the price.

The Bersa Thunder is a great firearm for the price. It feels great in the hand and the capacity in the plus model is what I was looking for. I was pleasantly surprised at how well the machining is done. The value of this firearm is better than the Walther PPK. Accuracy is better than expected as well. The only negative for me is the lack of night sights for my old eyes. For me this is sized perfectly for concealed carry. I will be looking to purchase the same product in another caliber.

A:William, it is DA/SA as it can be thumb cocked for SA operation as well. Double Action/Single Action System with Manual Safety/Decocker. -

A:Gary, yes Sir. Only the Bersa Thunder Plus Models mag releases are reversible. The magazine release on the single stack BT/FS380/32/22 sits in a keyhole slot in the right side of the frame. The opening on the left side will only allow the mag release button to go through, so it isn't reversible. -
