Flawless function after 200 rds, even with 20rds of federal hst! The fit and finish are very nice but not flawless, brushed chrome underneath the barrel is nice except one spot where they must have polished out the brushed chrome and it shines a little bit, thats just nit picking though. I absolutely love this gun. However I almost sent it in for a warranty repair because I could not break down the gun to clean! After toying around with the gun I realized the grips it came with were not for a 1911 with extended slide release. After removing the grip panel on the takedown side it disassembled with ease! Love this gun, looks every bit as good as a kimber or any higher end 1911. It is my first 1911 and probably not my last, since we all know how addictive guns can be!

tight, looks great, my ffl thought it was a kimber at first. cleaned it put 200 rounds through it without one fte or ftf, accuracy is amazing, sights are dead on. very satisfied with this 1911, grips are ugly but a set of 20 dollar grips off ebay will fix that. this is not by any means a cheap gun its just inexpensive compared to colt, kimber, springfield armory. finish is very very nice. trigger is about 3-3.5 pounds. the pic buds give you is not updated, to see what your actually buying go to americanclassic1911.com
only thing i dont like is the extended safety and slide release, not a big deal cause you can trade them out through eagle imports for regular ones. LIFETIME WARRANTY

I researched this 1911 thoroughly before ordering and decided to take a chance on a gun from a manufacturer I was not familiar with. Bud's had the hard chrome edition at a great price. The gun arrived in just two business days. This American Classic II is flawless, beautiful and I believe a real steal for the price. I am completely happy with the gun and the excellent service from Bud's. I have purchased from Bud's before and I will again in the future. If you purchase this gun, consider a set of Pachmayr Legend Grips. I can't believe how well this gun shoots and looks for the money!

My new american classic 2 is very well made. Broke it in with 150rds and about 25 hand loads. All went through with no problems. This gun is well made and a great shooter. went toe to toe with my friends Colt mark 4 with a wilson combat barrel and trigger.. If you can find one in stock buy it...

This 1911 is an great value, great quality & well made. I looked long and hard for an economical 1911, & after much research found the American Classic models from Eagle Imports to be a great value for what they have to offer www.americanclassic1911.com. The quality of the craftsmanship on this weapon is what you can expect from weapons costing twice as much. I took it to the range & it was a dream, I never shot a 1911 before, several Glocks, Sigs, etc. & I swear it was easier to make my shots, the groups were tight & after warming up to it 1 of my targets have a big huge 1 hole group at 10 yards. My only complaint is that it only came with 1 magazine & Bud's description of the weapon does not state that anywhere. This is not a standard GI, this features front & rear serrations, extended beaver tail safety, skeletonized trigger & hammer, Novak sights, good quality wood grips & the stainless steel finish is exceptional. This is my 2nd purchase from Buds & have been satisfied overall with their service, the pistol shipped Monday, my FFL got in the next day & I picked it up Wednesday. If you've been looking for a 1911 & wondering what to get, don't hesitate on this model, you won't find these features on any other 1911 pistol in this price range.
