If you want an outstanding handgun, you can't go wrong with the Springfield Armory XDM. If you want a good price, order it from Bud's ... BUT if you want quick delivery or any sort of customer service, go somewhere else. This is the second gun I've purchased from Bud's, and I can't say I've been very impressed with their service either time. This particular gun was purchased on 2/11 and didn't ship until 2/26. Within days of my order, and a week before it was shipped, Bud's lowered the price by $25 but would not adjust my price (and wouldn't even respond to my emails until after the gun was shipped).
FIVE STARS for the Springfield Armory XDM, but THUMBS DOWN for Bud's service.

Buds Is Truly Amazing I purchase this gun on the 2/24 and was at the FFL Dealer on 2/25 was suppose to receive on the the 2/26 was updated to the 2/25 . I couldn't believe that there shipping was 2 day AIR UPS. Now if only Illinois didn't have a 3 business day hold on handguns I will have taking to the range, will update afterwards but I must say I check everywhere and.com Is by far the cheapest online. 549.00 you cant go wrong.

I've put about 300 rounds thru this magnificent gun. The large backstrap made it fit my hand like a glove. The ease of break down and cleaning/re-assembly is basically "do it in your sleep". It's insanely accurate. Glock, watch out.

What an amazing firearm. Finally put a 100 rounds through it and it is incredibly accurate. Very low recoil and fits my hand very well. Now can they make a 45 and or 10mm.

Picked mine up this weekend, field stripped it, and immediately put 350 rounds through it. No issues at all with various cheap ammo (if there is such a thing anymore). Points great. Very accurate (tight groups)...although it tends to shoot a bit left (could be user error, but google it and you'll see there are a lot of us shoothing these left and none of us shooting right). Very user friendly firearm. I thought I was going to hate the extra safety features, but they have quickly won me over. I am still going back and forth about which size (small or med) backstrap fits me best...options are nice to have and one reason I went with this over the Glock 17 (I own a Glock 26 and am not a Glock hater). The paddle holster and belt loop (should be paddle) mag holder are a nice touch. IDPA tomorrow with this thing should be a good test. Overall, I highly recommend this handgun.

I just purchased this about a month ago and it exceeds all my expectations. This shoots like a dream and you will want to go shooting everyday!! The design of the grip fit your hand as if it was made specifically for you and the texture of the grips helps you maintain a firm hold while firing. I have a few different pistols and this is the best in all categories. You will not be disappointed . .. . . . now they need to come out with a XD(M) .45!!!!!!

What can i say! its a xd! i own two other xds 40 sub compact and 45 with lasermax. I cant wait to get my hands on the xdm 9mm! Also ordered a sr9 ruger I ordered from buds 2 weeks ago a sig pro and a eaa 9mm.got them in 2 days! . Buds rock! great service and support.THANKS YOU GUYS!

I got a 9mm XD-M a few weeks ago and have shot it twice total about 250 rounds.
This is my first polymer pistol and I like this one. Compared to my 1911 Colt this is SO unbelievably easy to field strip.
I take it apart sometimes just because it's such a cool design.
Lock the slide, drop the mag, flip the lever, release the slide lock and slip the slide off the frame...done.
Breaks down into 4 pieces: Frame, slide, barrel, spring assy. Not pulling the trigger to disassemble is huge.
Decent trigger pull and short reset, reasonably accurate, huge mag capacity, and good shooting auto. I like this gun and
it will take the pressure off my Gold Cup National Match Colt .45 ACP for routine range shooting.
Keeps the ammo costs down too.
I recommend this one.

Love the new package and mag size (even if it does take some time to load up lol). Only complaint I've had was the mag release was a bit stiff. However just found that if I press the mag a lil as I'm pressing the release its a lot easier. Other than that I love this gun. I've shown it to about twenty people (gun owners and non gun owners) and even gotten and few to buy one. My dad being one of them. He loved the bigger back strap as his hands are very meaty.

In my opinion, this is the best high capacity polymer framed handgun on the market today. I heard of a guy who traded in all of his Glocks for a couple of XDm (9mm & .40) pistols. I debated between the 9mm and the .40 but went with the 9mm because of the higher capacity. I already have a H&K USP Compact in the .40.
Great service from Bud's. I ordered on Tuesday and had the XDm in hand on Thursday. Lots of emails keeping me updated of the order process including UPS tracking. Bud's also had the best price I could find anywhere. Still cheaper than local shops or other sites even after paying the $25 transfer fee.
My advice, find what you want at Bud's and order now. Our second amendment rights are on the verge of being infringed upon.

Excellent handgun! I use it for concealed carry. It shoots great groups and the interchangeable backstraps are good for letting my girlfriend shoot it at the range. Ordered and got the gun in a week and that was even with me mailing Bud's a money order from here in Connecticut. Excellent customer service and Buds gunshop is a must visit for great deals and fast service!!

Great gun. I'm not a huge fan of polymer striker fired pistol, but Springfield has a winner here. No 1911 trigger, but it it has a short reset, and a smooth, short pull. The XD kit and case is nice. Bring extra ammo, the 19+1 mags eat it up fast! Buds service was excellent as usual.
