I've put about 500 rounds through the weapon by now, and have to say, it's a pleasure to shoot. The accuracy has to be seen to believed, the match grade assembly certainly has to have something to do with that. The Trijicon night sights are very nice, bright green in the dark and very easy to get a solid sight picture. But also a nice brass vial surround with a white appearance in lit surroundings assures consistent accuracy in any lighting condition. The entire package just says AWESOME when you open it, the extras included are icing on the cake. Don't hesitate, everything about this firearm exudes quality and performs excellently in the real world. Take down of the weapon is super fast and easy, lock the slide back, flip up the lever and release the slide...that's it, you're stripped.

It's a pleasure to shoot, long initial pull, but the reset is very short. I'm sure the safety of the weapon is a little controversial, but I think it's genius. God forbid a loaded weapon gets into the hands of a child, but I'm pretty sure that this weapon would protect everyone, the requirement to press in, and pull back on the trigger is a safeguard against small hands and drops. I feel it's a fantastically safe against any misfire of any kind due to the opposite safety mechanisms.

Picked up the Springfield 45A 4.5 Bitone. Buds handled the transaction quickly as usual. Put 200 rounds through at the range last weekend. No issues; smooth and nice tight groupings at 10 yards. Take down and cleaning was a breeze; rivals my Glocks, M&Ps and Kimbers. Only issues; switching of the hand grips requires a 3/32 punch, most other brands like the M&P Pro provide, not Springfield. And they only provided 2 magazines? Thier kit had magazine feeder, magazine holder (for 2 extra mags), 2 extra grip sizes and holster. Had to spend the 20 to get the extra magazine through Springfield.

LOVE the XDm! Shot awesome right out of the box and dis-assembly was a breeze. I carried it for the days I was home on R&R and it held up great. Truly a great pistol. Accurate as can be at distance. Definitely going to be my daily carry when I get back home. Thank you BUDS!
