it shoots a little to the left, but the adjustable rear sight fixed that
there's a little vertical movement on the slide when pulling the trigger(when the sear engages the firing pin)
I emailed Springfield but no response for a bout a month now.will call them when i have a chance.
Hopefully their live customer support is not as bad as email support
The stock trigger is hard and long pull to be considered a competition gun.
i shot sig,H&K and they are much better triggers.
The walther PPQ has the best trigger and It's not even a competion pistol
I can't find a replacement night sights for the XDM 5.25 either

After shooting several 3-Gun matches with .45 ACP, $ .40 S&W I really wanted a 9mm gun to use for competition. I purchased my XDM 5.25 9mm and proceeded to take it to my next match, after running a couple hundred rounds through it to break it in. This pistol performed flawlessly and was as accurate as any pistol I've ever shot. The sights make target acquisition quick and easy. Mag capacity is great. OK, the trigger pull could be a little smoother and lighter but it was very manageable and consistent. I may send it in for a trigger job but am not sure at this time whether it will be necessary. This pistol is a keeper! By the way, Buds delivered exactly what I expected when I expected it. Prices are great too.

Gun comes with everything you need at the range. 3rd clip and speed loader are great bonuses. 200 rounds through it with no probs. Tried wal mart federal and winchester as well as remington and hornady hollow points and it shot em all

I bought my XDM Competition (9 mm) from Buds a few months ago. After a little practice I took it to the 4 day class at Frontsight and scored the best I have ever done in the 4 day class. 119 out of 125 on the timed course. Just dropped a little low at 15 meters, and will have this corrected for the next class. The XDM was excellent in the tactical scenarios., did not miss a single target or accidentally hit the wrong target. So far, this XDM is my best quality handgun. Can't wait to try the same gun in the other two calibers. Thank you Buds for your usual excellent service.

I agree pretty much with that the other XDm 9mm 5.25 comp owners have said. It is a really great gun in many ways but I wasn't satisfied with the trigger. The gun is so darn accurate the smallest mistakes in stance, breathing or proper hand placement will really show up in your groups. My problem was that I was hitting low and to the left while standing, but the gun was dead accurate from the rest. The answer was that the long creep on the trigger was causing it. I have been shooting a single action, hammer fired pistol so long that I was unused to the feel of the double action striker type of mechanism. After some practice I fixed that issue but still didnt think the trigger was as good as the rest of the pistol. I ordered a PSP ultimate match trigger kit and installed it. Now the gun feels and shoots like I think it should. I have practiced on targets and at my Thursday night shoot where we set up a course with steel targets and barricades and as long as I do my part the gun puts the hits where they belong. I have shot 1500 rounds so far and have had one failure to feed and when I looked at the round, the case was defective (it had creased right at the crimp). I think the gun is one of the best I have ever owned.
