Available in 9mm, .357 SIG and .40 S&W, the SP2022 can easily be converted from a Double-Action/Single-Action to a Double-Action Only configuration through a unique integral fire control unit. It also features the SIG SAUER four-point safety system. The SIG SAUER polymer framed pistols has earned an enviable reputation and proven track record of reliable performance in the hands of law enforcement professionals. In December of 2004 the U.S. Army Tank-automotive and Armaments Command at the Rock Island Arsenal awarded SIG SAUER a contract for 5,000 SIG SAUER SP2022 pistols chambered in 9mm. Incredible accuracy and reliability. I am very impressed with this pistol. At 15 yards, with all 5 shots for the group were touching each other. No malfunctions of any kind. This is my new concealed carry weapon.

I have wanted this pistol ever since the first version came out. They became real scarce before they brought out the second version. Unfortunately I wasn't in the market when the Sig 2022 were easy to get. Fortunately Buds had one. I have also really enjoyed my firearm buying experiences with Buds.

I'm a big Sig, and Glock fan. Something about the Sig Pro just made sense to me when I discovered their existence, and I was able to hold them in the past. I feel that Sig Sauer thought carefully about the design, and didn't just throw any polymer product out there with its name on it. Nope this pistol is not a Cadillac Catera, thank God! The Sig 2022 is worthy to have the name Sig Sauer on it, and is way more than a mere novelty!

This pistol feels great in hand, and has excellent point-ability. This is not a "cheapy" pistol by any means, and is much more handsome then the goofy Sig P250s. Although, I am not used to field stripping with the system it has. Traditional Sigs or Glocks have a way easier take down, but I trust that the Sig 2022 will become manageable with practice. (Sometimes the user has to adjust to a weapon.) I look forward to shooting this gun at the range!

There is one question on my mind if anyone could help: I have watched youtube.com reviews on the Sig 2022, and their pistols came with three magazines, a replacement grip, and a traditional Sig Sauer blue carry case with brochures (Is this the civilian consumer market version?). Another buyer of this pistol (from Buds) gave a review and said that he received "...the triple-serial, German proofed version." Sig 2022. I'm not sure what version I have, but I'm wondering if I have this all German version because my Sig 2022 came in a smaller black carry case with only two magazines. The other interesting part is that it was test fired on what apears to be a German paper target that they included, and it had all German writing. The slide on the gun says Exeter NH, the frame made in Germany. I doubt that the German facility would send their frame to be assembled with an American slide to be then shipped back to Germany to be test fired (unless for some goofy reason New Hampshire test fires on German paper targets.). Also there is a sticker on the top of the case that says the pistol was made in Germany. Still, I wonder... I am confident that it will serve as it should either way.

I wasn't going to buy one but simply couldn't pass up Buds deal. I'm glad I did, the one I received is the triple-serial, German proofed version. These are said to be better fitted than the mixed US/German part models. So far so good for mine. The trigger seems every bit as good as the $1000+ sigs, which I've fired back-to-back. It isn't quite as nice looking as the 229, but for hundreds of dollars less you can't complain. So far no FTF, FTE, etc. and I've tried a number of the cheap ammo brands.

To those who experience slide locking issues...simply get your thumb off the slide lock. Its such a common issue that its in the Sig FAQ, and its very easy to put your thumb on it with enough pressure to stop the slide from locking back on empty. Its a shame someone gave it 3 stars for what is almost certainly a user issue.

Its a sig for under $500, you really can't go wrong.

Another terrific experience with Bud's. My SigPro2022 arrived within two days of ordering it, exactly as described. This is the 40sw model. I also have the 9mm version and there are some interesting differences between the two guns. Both have the triple serial numbers, but only the 40 has the German proof marks on the slide and barrel. Both have black plastic cases that say Nitron fiinish, but the 9 has a slightly lighter and much smoother finish on the slide. The 40's is much blacker and shinier, but you can also see slight tool marks. The 40 also has much smaller (too small, in my opinion) night sights than the 9, no lanyard loop (even though the grips are the same size), a hollowed-out area on the rear of the trigger, and 12-round magazines instead of 15 for the 9mm. My main gripe is that takedown with both guns is VERY difficult at first, but eventually loosens up. And yes, they are extremely accurate. All in all, one of the best "bangs for the buck" you will ever find.

This is my first ever gun. I have done my homework and after a 2 months of research I went ahead and purchased this gun from Buds. Great gun for a great price. I have put through about 250 rounds of WWB and not a single failure of any kind. great accuracy 3" groups at 25 yards and I am not a good shooter. The grip gun comes with is a little small for my hands so I will order the medium grip soon. Take down is not too bad, you get used to it after a couple of times. Its an all German built gun and comes with ilaflon finish, german proof marks and triple serial numbers. I would love to have a 9mm as soon as I can afford and be avaliable on Buds. This is a keeper, I may own and trade alot of guns in future but this being my first gun and being a really good one I will never sell or trade this one. Evrything went smooth with Buds as well and great customer service they have.

Bud's was great to do business with, all went smoothly, gun arrived at FFL sooner than expected.
2022 is a nice shooting pistol, that is a little hard for me to break down but other than that no problems after 500 rnds.
I'll give my XDm the slight nod because its easier to break down but other than that Its pretty close. Night sites are nice.

Buds is a great company to deal with and I will continue to do business with them. The SP2022 seems like it is a very well made handgun and shares the same perks of any other Sig. However, brand new out of the case, the slide on my particular SP2022 will not reliably lock back on an empty magazine. It is now on its way back to the factory for Sig to repair. Other than that issue, it seems like a great handgun. The grip feels good, the trigger is nice, it isn't too heavy, and it came with everything it said it would.

Shot it today at the range and can only say WOW! This was my first SIG .40 and loved the weight, feel, quality, and accuracy. I used WalMarts Federal .40, and was able to hit 9/10 shots perfecty at 50 feet. At 25 feet, it was a dream. Went with a group of people owning Glocks and more expensive SIGs; everyone loved the easy trigger and overall feel of the 2022. For the price, brand, and quality this is a steal. A+, 10/10, two thumbs up, etc.

Excellent value! Purchased the SIG Pro 2022 40s&w Night Sight w/12 rd Mags. Excellent dealing with everyone at Bud's. This is my second purchase in 6 months. Both guns arrived on-time at the FFL and both times they could not believe the price I paid! The Sig pro is my ccw. Awesome firepower and accurate. My LE buddies love this one, too. You want a Sig at a price that you can afford, this is it!

Price unbeaten, quick shipping. Shot the gun the day after receiving it and giving it a good cleaning. Shot fifty rounds decent ammo no problems. Good groupings at 50 feet better at 21. Next time ran cheap ammo through it at 60 feet not a shot hit, ran another clip at 30 feet hit 2 missed 10. Buddy of mine who reloads gave me some very good reloads, I couldn't miss. I've decided to do reloads for all my guns after this. Loved this gun at first, hated it second, back to loving it. Can't beat the price for a Sig. Buds is the best.

Great price and service as always from Buds ! My first Sig, and I have to say, I'm a bit disappointed. Could not dial it in at the range and get a good grouping - perhaps my fault, not the gun, but haven't had that issue with any other pistol. But biggest issue I had was when I came home and cleaned the gun - plastic internal parts ?! Recoil spring guide is plastic - have never seen that. The recoil spring itself looks like a blue plastic slinky - upon closer inspection, I believe that is actually metal or aluminum though. I expected a lot more from a Sig, but I guess that's why it is so cheap.

Great Gun at an Awesome Price!!! Loved dealing with Bud's I was a little skeptical as this was my first gun purchase online. Ordered at 4:30pm Monday afternoon. Received first response email within an hour saying it will ship tuesday. Bud's you are Great. As for the gun fits my hand perfect also have Glock 23c which is a little smaller and easier to conceal but the sig feels alot better in my hand. Shot 250 rounds Saturday not a single problem accurate all shots were center mass within the silhoutte from 20 meters. Best gun for the price and a blast to shoot!!!

I was so happy to see this gun at this great price at Bud's. I placed my order on Saturday night, mailed a MO on Monday and was at the range with it on Saturday morning! Great service Bud's! $439 for a Sig with Siglite Night Sites and 2 mags is a deal that can't be beat! I don't know how this gun stays so unknown. I love this gun!!! I'm gonna have to get it in a 9mm too.

I hit 7 out of 12 shots within the circle !! The Sig 2022 9mm & 2022 40 cal. are, by far my favorett hand guns in my collection. Thank You!!

This Sigpro is assembled in Germany and is CIP proofed with the Nitro, Kiel, and date code proof marks. It also comes with an orange training barrel, mag loader, a German test target, and the Ilaflon finish, all for $439. This is the best Sig deal ever, even better than the $439 9mm Sigpros from a few weeks back. I own plenty of P series Sigs, but I never go to the range without one of my Sigpros. This weapon is a winner.

Finally had an opportunity to take this out, all I can say is wow. This definetly is the "best bang for your buck". This may be a polymer gun but it has excellent weight displacement and the trigger is outstanding. If you are thinking about the 250, I say take another look at this 2022. The SP2022 definietly has the upper hand with the DA/SA trigger & decocker. I can't wait to take the 2022 out on another date.

Excellent value! Purchased the SIG Pro 2022 9mm from Bud's two months a liked it so much I just purchased the 40 s&w. Did extensive research on both and could not find a negative comment on either weapon. Both are very accurate and well made with an outstanding trigger pull. I have a Glock 17 and it's a great weapon but given a chose, I would take the Sig Pro. You will not be disappointed. You will not find a better price or service than Bud's on either the 9mm or 40 s&w, Enjoy!!
