Does this Sig have an ambidextrous safety? Is the grip width narrower than the high capacity 226?

Wayne, yes this has an ambidextrous manual thumb safety. The grip width is exactly the same. The magazine is the same size as the higher capacity version it's just pinned to only accept 10 rounds. So this will take higher capacity magazines to if you want. Hope this helps.

357 sig is a 40cal case necked down to a 9mm bullet the chamber/barrel is larger on the 357 sig then on a 9mm, 357 sig is also a much higher pressure round then 9mm so 9mm doesn't make a good platform to convert to 357 sig

You would have to replace the entire slide, barrel and recoil springs. It's doable just alot more expensive. Hope this helps

Jeff, no, you can do this with a .40S&w to a .357Sig barrel but not from a 9mm Sig. You would need the complete upper/slide. Cheers and stay safe!

I bought two sigs, this gun and dark elite in 10MM from another site. The 10MM is a tack driver but my legion was a real disappointment. I feel like I got somebody's reject. Sights were way off and trigger would lock up. No matter what you spend you are taking your chances with SIG! The older German guns were masterpieces.

I am 700 rounds through this gun and I can't say enough about it. I own plenty of handguns in various calibers and this is easily the softest and most accurate gun I own. The doubles and consecutive shots are so easily made with the single action and short reset trigger. I personally did not adjust the trigger despite the option being made in the gun. I liked it where it was when I got it and doubt I will ever mess with it. I know this is a expensive handgun but worth saving for in my opinion.
