Awesome handgun. Very accurate. Not one thing about it I would change. It is much more stainless looking than the picture. For some reason the picture looks gray. It is a bright stainless. Fantastic bargain compared to other p226 models.

Thus far, a beautiful weapon...which I so far have not been able to fire. Not for lack of interest, just lack of venue, but that will change once Covid-19 panic settles down and the ranges near my home open up again. As I cannot speak to the performance as of yet, I will limit my review to the weapon as it pertains to what I CAN examine. The finish on the rosewood is beautiful, smooth and shiny and highly polished, while the checkering on the surfaces of the trigger-guard and grip allow for easy handling and confident purchase of the hand on the weapon. Slide-release is easy to access, de-cocker functions as advertised, trigger weight is long and heavy on first discharge while the single-action pull is light and crisp. The weight is comfortable for someone of my size and hand-shape (fingers aren't very long but the gun rests well in my grasp). The weapon arrived with a significant amount of CPL on almost every inch, which I didn't expect, but it was easily cleaned and every friction-surface within the weapon is well lubricated. The barrel, spring and guide-rod fit together tightly, tolerances between parts have no wiggle or rattle or give. I may purchase different magazines, but the dummy-rounds that I have tested the factory magazines have given me no problems as of yet. I will test the weapon with 115 grain ammunition and then 124 grain to see which load performs best for my skill level (which is amateurish, but we all have to start somewhere) though I have heard from several sources that 115 grain is best for range firing while 124 grain (especially hollow-points) is best for home defense. If there is any advice that Buds or anyone else can offer based on their experience with the P226, I'd welcome it. Otherwise, I'm very satisfied and anticipatory of the excellent performance of this weapon.

Haven't had a chance to get the P226 out to the range, it appears to be the quality I expected from Sig. Bud's Gun's as always, came thru without a hitch.

Beautiful pistol! I did have one failure to lock open on an empty mag. That was the first full magazine fired, a new Mec-Gar 18 round mag. After that I had no failures of any kind with either the stock USA 15 rd mags or Mec-Gar 18 and 20 rd mags. Fired aluminum case Independance, Fiochi brass case and Sellier and Bellot brass case 115 grn FMJ without issue. No regrets on this pistol whatsoever. Picture does not do this SIG justice. Absolutely beautiful firearm.

It's a Sig what else can I say, I guess I could say it's very well built has attractive wood grips and nice night sights can't go wrong buying a Sig 226 but you already know that, I recommend this firearm to anyone that's looking for a quality made gun that doesn't mind spending a few more bucks.
