Be advised, this gun does not come with custom aluminum grips as advertised. The grips are not even being made yet. To Bud's credit, they offered me a full refund even after I accepted delivery. The P290 is a great gun. It is accurate, conceals well, and has a very smooth trigger although the trigger pull is long. If you are used to shooting a double action revolver this will not be an issue. In two words Great Gun.

Sig Sauer has gotten cheap. The P290RS was delivered in a flimsy cardboard box with all the accessories thrown inside, instead of the usual and organized plastic pistol case. When I called Sig Sauer to express my disappointment, they simply said that I had to buy for the pistol case separately.

The diamond plate design also looks cheap with tiny slits cut into the slide. Sig Sauer should have etched the slide and then Nitron coated it, not the other way around. Sig Sauer must be taking cost cutting lessons from Taurus and Hi Point.
