Featuring all the timeless style of an American original and sharing the proud heritage of the legendary Desert Eagle, the 9mm 1911 from Magnum Research comes fully equipped with top of the line custom features. The Desert Eagle 1911C9 features a 4.33" barrel which has a bushingless barrel design. It is shipped with two 8 round magazines with extended base pads for positive magazine insertion. The frame is precision cast and machined from high quality carbon steel and the slide is machined from solid billets of steel than finished in a matte black. The Desert Eagle 1911 comes loaded with outstanding features that would cost extra from a custom gunsmith. Some of these features include a high-ride beavertail grip safety, extended magazine release, aluminum trigger with an overtravel stop, stainless steel full-length guide rod, extended thumb safety, enlarged ejection port, beveled magazine well and double-diamond checkered wood grips held in place by stainless steel hex screws.

This firearm has a very good factory trigger.

i am very pleased with my purchase. Bud's Gun shop did great on there part. The transaction was smooth and hassle free. This is my first 1911 pistol. I usually buy Glocks. I took this to the range and shot 100 rounds of Remington brass case fmj with no malfunctions. I then tried to shoot a box of steel cased cheap Russian ammo and had several failure to feed with that ammo. I will stick with brass cased ammo from now on. The gun shipped with two 10 round magazines and has grey grips instead of the wood grips shown in Bud's photo. Check the magnum research website if you want to see how they look. I love the gun. I wish the finish was a little nicer on the slide. I may have it cerakoted one day but it is fine for now.

As usual, customer service was top notch and my DE1911C9 was picked up from my FFL on 02/08/2018. It came with gray/black G10 grips as opposed to the wood grips shown in Bud's product info (this was expected) and is a great looking gun. Bud's info states that it would ship with 2 8 round magazines (editing error from .45 copy?), Desert Eagle website info stated they shipped with 2 9 round magazines, the gun I received was shipped with 2 10 round Mec-Gar magazines. This was not expected, but not an issue. After cleaning and lubing, took it to the range and ran the 2 10 round magazines plus 4 9 round magazines through it and had no issues whatsoever. To date, I have made 3 range trips and ran 6 mags each time for 150 +rounds and the gun has performed flawlessly. Ammo used was Winchester 9mm NATO 124 gr.FMJ. Great trigger with crisp break at about 3.5lbs with a short reset. Very accurate (when I'm doing my part) shooting to point of aim. My goal was to get a Commander size 9mm as companion to my full size 9mm 1911 and this has exceeded my expectations. A great value in a 9mm Commander size!

It was worth the few days wait. The gun arrived in perfect shape and was even prettier and had even better grips than it showed in the stock pic. I am a happy camper.
