WHAT IS NOT TO LIKE HERE, S&W Performance shop got this weapon RIGHT! Tight groups at 25 yards, high viz sights are easy to acquire and the lock up on this platform is smooothhhh. Trigger is positive and the reset is just right. The backstraps also make a big difference on large hands, I adjusted it out to where it feels well balanced. Groups are coming in high right but that may be someone attributed to the shooter as well. Overall great groups with cheap / medium / expensive ammo & it likes expensive ammo!. 1200 rounds out of the box on the 1st day and no misfeeds or failures. Would recommend this upgrade weapon. Buds was extremely fast, I paid on a Tuesday and picked it up on a Thursday. On to the gun. I'm very very unimpressed. The quality was very poor. I've owned several M&P's and this is by far the worst. The finish is spotty and not uniform, the stainless steel barrel is very scratched up and looks like it's had a child fit it with 600 grit sandpaper, and the fiber optic inserts for the sights are huge. The trigger has a lot of creep to it and does not break cleanly. This will most definitely be the last M&P I purchase if this is the quality of the "Performance Center". I wish I had done the smart thing and bought a 2.0 for two hundred dollars less, I wasted my money.

Unfortunately this performance center firearm had the front sight installed out of line with the barrel by over 1/32". It is concerning and annoying that a "Performance Center" firearm passed inspection with something like this, and more concerning in that a little research has indicated that this is not all that uncommon with Smith & Wesson. Note also that a warranty request for correction has not been responded to for quite some time. I love to buy American, but this type of thing doesn't motivate me to continue to buy Smith & Wesson. Funny that Glock, Springfield XD, etc. have shown no such problems in my experience.

Absolutely love this gun! It is an extremely flat shooting gun with a great trigger! I would highly recomend this firearm for anyone in the market!
