Great fire arm. Accurate, easy to use and clean. Changeable back straps make it very comfortable in your hand.

I love this gun. The trigger is perfect for quick firing, the barrel is nice for aiming and accurate. It is a little top heavy and gives it a little bit more kick back, but the grips make up for it. Its easy to disassemble and is very sturdy.

I bought this handgun for my wife. She is fell in love with the S&W M&P when she was taking shooting lessons. We haven't shot the one we purchased, yet, but I'm sure it will be good. Bud's as usual, was very good- prompt service and delivered as promised!

Nice pistol. Very reliable and have used it in USPSA Limited 10 matches with no issues. Could also be a nice base setup for Limited class. The sights are very useable with a bright red fiber optic in front and large easy to find rear notch. Liked it so much bought one in 9mm to shoot production class. I would buy again. 5 stars.

I picked up my M&P Pro.40 along with an M&P Pro 9, and we went straight to the range, Great, Great, Great gun. I love the M&P series and the the Pro's are the best, this will be my new production gun this year….mainly because my wife won't let go of the 9. Buds price and service are top notch as always and I look forward to my next purchase.

Just picked mine up today and immediately put 100 rounds of steel cased Tula through it, no problems. If it will run that cheap stuff fresh out of the box, all others should be a given. Also ran PPU hollow points and Perfecta 180 fmj both brass case 100%. The grip ergonomics are perfect with S&W's aggressive texture inserts. The Buds photo shows the older smoother model. This gun is slim, light weight and tough. One gun writer has put over 30K rounds through a 9mm version. This gun should be the new service pistol for the US military. Excellent point of aim accuracy with the fiber optic sight.

I had a great first time buy from Buds Gun Shop. The transaction was easy and fast shipping! The handgun was in perfect condition and exactly as described! I have another gun coming tomorrow and I can't wait! I will definitely buy from Bud's from now on! Thank you Buds for an awesome experience!

Love the gun. Very good trigger, the reset is not very noticeable but good enough, otherwise a great trigger. Shoots very comfortably, the grip, the recoil, the sights, all very comfortable/shootable. I bought a Storm Lake 9mm conversion barrel and two 9mm magazines and now have two guns in one. I like the gus even more as a 9mm, and the Storm Lake barrel made the gun more accurate, at least for my shooting.

1st off... Buds was great as usual. Don't hesitate to order from them. As far as the S&W M&P 40 Pro... good weapon. I fired about 100 rounds without any issues in terms of FTF, FTE, etc. Fairly smooth trigger pull. Recoil was very manageable for a 40. I did add an Apex RAM to provide a better trigger reset, Now for the oddity. After firing the weapon, with the slide locked back, I inserted a fully loaded mag and smacked the bottom of the mag to ensure it was in. As I did this, the slide released ON ITS OWN, and I had a round chambered! This happened 3 more times while I was at the range. I made sure it was the gun doing this and not an error on my part. So then I thought I had a defective gun. But after researching on the internet, I learned this can be a "quirk" of polymer handguns, and specifically the M&P. I have never had another semi auto do this (Glock, Sig, even a S&W shield), so I was surprised when I learned this can happen. Seems a bit dangerous to me (at least at 1st). The S&W manual does state "do not use excessive upward force when loading mag into the pistol, because the slide could go forward on its own." Since I will be using this weapon for competition shooting, its not a big deal. I will just expect this to happen based on how I like to insert my mags. But it is something to be aware of if you have a new shooter using this type of weapon. Keep that trigger finger out of the trigger well. And also note that the slide releasing on its own does not happen every single time. It all depends on the force that you use to insert the mag. I played around with mine some more and, as indicated by S&W, the amount of force dictated whether or not the slide would release on its own. So, you might be expecting the slide to release automatically, but it might not depending on the force you use. I don't like that inconsistency, that's why I gave it 4 stars.
