This is one gorgeous pistol in every aspect. I had a two failure to feed jams in the first 50 rounds or so, but after that it is feeding everything. Very accurate, smooth operating and negligible recoil for a .45acp. The sights are great and right on the money. Kimber also sells genuine bone grip panels for this pistol and while they are expensive, this pistol is worth it. Great job by Kimber and as always great job by Buds.

I am a Kimber guy. I am not trying to brag but since 2009 from Bud's alone I have bought 85 guns, mostly 1911's and of those mostly Kimbers. I love most of them but obviously don't keep them all. That said for me this wasn't a keeper. For a safe queen it would be alright but I shoot my guns. The bluing was really nice, some of the best that I have seen. It was polished and always smudged. Some Kimbers have really good triggers, this one didn't. It was 5.7#'s with lots of creep. To look at it was great, to shoot, for me anyway, not so great.There were some flaws in the cocking serations that I had to touch up and the barrel which was all blue had a poor finish. Not a bad example of a Kimber but just not up to the quality of a pistol in this price range from what is supposed to be a custom shop. If you like Kimbers and want one that stands out in a crowd this is for you and this one may not have been representivive of this model. The guy I sold it to last Sunday at a gun show loved it and will be very happy with it as a carry pistol.
