This is my first firearm purchase...and boy is this thing a beauty!! First off Bud's service was excellent, received my gun in 2 business days. I have fired over 700 rounds through it without any FTF or FTE. Recoil is manageable and very accurate. The gun is easy to strip down for cleaning and easy to put back together. This gun feels good in my largish hands and feels solid all around. You can tell this weapon was over engineered. You can't go wrong with this weapon if your looking for a compact .40.

I've been carrying the Glock 23 and Glock 27 for a few years now. I've always liked the H&K and carried it at work. Traded in my H&K USP 45 for the H&K Compact 40. I love the feel and sturdiness of this gun and although it weighs more than the Glock 23, it will be my weapon of choice. There is something about a manual safety, decock lever and hammer. I train throughout the year with all my weapons, so the DA to SA transition is no problem and I just like a gun with a hammer. Ergonomically the H&K is a better fit/feel and in my opinion the higher cost is worth it. You can't go wrong with either Glock or H&K but don't let price be the deciding factor. When leaving the house, the H&K will be my first choice.
