HK's SP5K is a semi-automatic, civilian sporting pistol that matches the look and feel of the famous MP5K submachine gun. Its design meets the definition of a civilian pistol and marks the return of the roller delayed blowback system. The operating system is legendary in its accuracy and reliability. For more comfortable shooting, the SP5K is equipped with an elastic bungee sling. The sling is easily installed by snapping it onto the sling swivel hardware located on the rear of the receiver. The SP5K comes with two 10-round magazines.

The SP5K is everything I expected from the civilian version of the ultimate personal defense weapon…the MP5K. And yes, that includes the trigger-pull. If you are a fan of the institution that is the HK MP5K and all its glory, then this civilian version SP5K is as close as you will ever get in a semi-automatic. The fore grip that comes “stock” with this weapon is easily changed out for a vertical grip…ala the MP5K. Go with the SP5K PDW (5.83” 3-lug barrel) if you want a suppressor or stay with the SP5K (4.53” barrel) if you are old-school. If you have the means, I highly suggest you pick one up.
