Brandon, Don't know about serial number, but this batch is after 2013. This present batch of these FDE LCPs went on sale at BUDs after 2015. Now in 2019 there are less then 3 left in inventory. Will be sold out soon.

Brandon, Only way you can tell is serial number. For details on your specific serial number you may contact Rugers Service Department: 336-949-5200. Ca. compliant. A friend a Ruger guy told me all Rugers w/max 10rd are ca. comp. This he was told by Ruger rep.

It may have been but not as of the recent revamp on 01/18/18 Bob. Ruger was one of the Manufacturers that was basically decimated with California's craziness. The only CA model on the "CA Approved Roster" is the LC380CA 03253 / Alloy listed here (Mostly only Ruger Revolvers survived): https://www.oag.ca.gov/firearms/certguns?make=Sturm%2C+Ruger+%26+Co.

Anybody know year of production of this firearm .and if there is a dash in the SN.

Hi Joseph, there really is no way for us to know without the "Serial Number" (which Buds or any vendor does not give out). You can try asking Buds but don't expect much. I do know this is a recent manufacture pistol. I love my LCPs! I have five, and I've never had a problem from any of them. At the range I've run at least a half dozen different brand of ammo thru each of them, and I've never had a failure of any kind. I carry at least one for personal protection every time I leave the house, and those are always loaded to the gills with Hornady Critical Defense.

Purchased the Ruger lcp 380 as a small backup to my Glock,, however carrying it is so comfortable that I find it to be used as an everyday carry on many occasions. I tend to like more fire power than 380 but it is a solid pistol to have…had a few jamb ups in the first 100 rounds fired, but since then fires just fine…actually bought another for shop…

When I bought this the price had dropped to $177 and then I won a Bud's gift card for $50.
I couldn't pass up the deal, I had sold a black LCP I had before and was wanting another. The FDE was the clincher.
It arrived in perfect condition with a nice pocket holster similar to what Galco sells, not as nice and sticky as the Galco though.
Typical Ruger LCP performance, shoots great, no FTF or FTE.
Shoots great out to 15+ yards
