NICE revolver! So far I've put about 300+ rounds through it (357, 38 and 38+p) and no problems at all. It does what its supposed to. The transaction through Buds Guns was flawless. Ordered, shipped fast, received at on of their recommended FFL's. I highly recommend Bud's!

Bought one new from Buds and it came quicker than expected considering the Christmas rush. Got it home and tried dry firing the pistol in single action. At first it would not hold the trigger back in the fired position. The trigger went full forward as to the double action position. Friendly neighborhood gun smith said to dry fire repeatedly to loosen and burrs on the trigger or hammer. Did this a half dozen times or more and low and behold the problem went away. The trigger now stays in the pulled position as it should after single action. Disappointed that my new pistol did not work right out of the box, but it seems to be working now. Kind of took away the excitement of a new gun, but I'll keep it.

Today, I brought my new Taurus Model 65, which I recently purchased from Bud's, to the range for the first time. I fired fifty flawless, accurate rounds from approximately fifty feet and was very impressed with my new gun. The action is smooth and the trigger pull fairly light, even in double action. Cylinder lockup is tight and the gun is hefty enough to make recoil very manageable. The finish is a beautiful deep blue gloss, but matte across the top strap to eliminate glare when sighting. The Hogue-style rubber grips are very comfortable. I have small hands and, even though it's a large gun, I found it to be comfortable in my hand.

The ammo I used was CCI Blazer .357 FMJ 158gr. in aluminum cases. The dimples in the primers were perfectly formed and deep enough to ensure that there wouldn't be any light strikes.

Overall, I am thrilled with my purchase of this handgun and I would heartily recommend it to anyone seeking a nice looking, comfortable, reliable, and sturdy .357 revolver at a great price. Some people might call this gun cheap; I call it a great value!

I liked the gun so much for the price and what you get that I bought another for my wife, who actually took mine away from me after a trip to the range. This weapon is "Plain Jane", but we shot over 200 rounds of .357 mag CCI Speer/Alum Casing, and she got better as things went on. This weapon does the job and looks alright too. I would reccomend it to anyone especially those just starting out with handguns. Happy, Happy!!!!!!!!!!

This revolver is an amazing purchase for anyone who wants a no frills, basic carry gun or plinker. I put 138 rounds through mine the first day I had it and it performed flawlessly. As expected the double action trigger was stiff and long, however it was manipulable with a little practice. It did get smoother as I continued to shoot. The heft and balance of this weapon made it a joy to shoot both .38 special rounds and .357 rounds through. I felt that it was manageable with 125 grain jacketed soft point ammo for the .357 magnum, and the .38 specials hardly kicked at all either. The grips are comfortable, and in my opinion help disperse the recoil evenly throughout the palm of your hand. Also, the fixed sights are dead on right out of the box, this weapon is far more accurate than ill ever be, thats for sure. Once again, highly recommended purchase for someone wanting a damned fine revolver without a damned high price. Taurus really delivered on this one, I wouldnt hesitate to purchase another taurus product in the future based solely on this purchase. Anyways, if you are on the fence let me help you.........buy the damned thing already! No regrets to be had about it.
