Buds Gun was able too fill my purchase request when others could not. I found myself on several waiting lists that never produced. I now know where to go first for future purchases. Shipping to Alaska was seamless.

Buds was awesome with the whole process. I’ve already referred 3 of my friends. The professionalism is unprecedented. Shopping elsewhere is simply a waste of time. I will be doing all my shopping needs through Buds. Being a member is a perk as well. What else could a guy ask for. You guys rock. Any of my needs come straight from guns. This was my second purchase & definitely not my last. I will tell anyone...Buds is #1 & the best sight I’ve dealt with. Thank you Buds for everything!

This revolver is FUN!! Heavy and bulky but it can handle the 454! Quality is good for a Taurus! This is an intimidating revolver but well worth owning!

Let me start off saying this was the first time I ever ordered a firearm online. It was really easy and shipped really fast. Now to the Raging Judge itself. It's definitely a hand cannon. I went and fired some 3" 410 small game loads out of it and it handled really well. I was able to fire it one handed with no complaints of the recoil(it was a temptation I couldn't resist). I then fired some 260 grain 454 Casull out of it. The recoil is obviously greater than the 410 but still manageable. Of course I had to fire one of those one handed too. I have yet to fire any 45LC out of it but I mainly wanted it for the 3" 410 and the 454. Overall it's a nice handgun, no flaws, and fun to shoot.

As a previous owner of the Taurus Judge I can say that this Raging Judge is much bigger and heavier. I also noticed a more robust and tighter construction. The grip is confortable. Overall, a much better revolver. Despite its heavy weight, the .454 Casull kicks pretty good but very fun to shoot nonetheless. Keep in mind the stainless steel version, short barrel, gets very dirty and will require regular cleaning. A beast of a gun, reliable and very fun to shoot.

I have both Taurus Raging Judge Magnum 6inch barrel and now the 3inch model.
These revolvers are amazing and over built. These revolvers shoot
454 Casull
45 Long Colt
410 guage 2 1/2 & 3inch
45 Schofield
45 ACP (with moonclips)
Its heavy compared to the 6 inch 513 model. I believe it is to manage the recoil seeing how you lose 3 inches at the barrel pushing a heavy 454 casull round. Imagine shooting 000buck at 15 feet target. That's 3 380 rounds per trigger pull. This revolver is fun and has plenty of value. Would I buy it again ? I bought two so more fun for me. Good Job Taurus

Hey, yes it is still in production. The best thing to do is on the products page you can click on the box "Notify me when available" that way when it comes back in stock you can purchase it right away. This helps eliminate the risk of it being sold out again before you have a chance to buy it.

Tim, no Sir. The Cylinder is not cut for moon clips. The Taurus Raging Judge has the ability to chamber either a .410 Shot shell or a .45 Long Colt or a .454 Casull cartridge. There are companies that will machine out a recessed area in your .45 Colt revolver’s cylinder, to make space for the moonclips. The Governor comes from the S&W factory with its cylinder already machined with the appropriate recesses. The Taurus Raging Judge doesn’t.

Lora - the answer to your question depends entirely on your intended use(s) for the firearm. If you plan on using it to carry concealed for defense, then the shorter barrel is the best option, obviously, for weight purposes, and since defensive shooting is 'up close and personal', a longer barrel for accuracy at distance is not required.. On the other hand if you want a target pistol, or a firearm to use for hunting, or just target practice, then a longer barrel makes more sense. No one who actually knows anything about firearms would venture to tell you one is better for you than the other, without knowing what you want the firearm to achieve. You will have to make a determination, based on your needs for a firearm. Hope this makes sense. thanks.
