Rec'd PT111 G2 9 days after ordered. If you are new to guns: I am a novice shooter and thought single/double action meant first shot was a longer-and-heavier pull on the trigger; 2nd shot a shorter and lighter pull. Not so... this gun is first shot a long, light pull (s/a)and after that all are heavier and just as long(from the original resting position of trigger all the way to the back of the trigger guard) I guess this is the d/a mode.. It was difficult for me to be accurate with the length of the pull.....
That being said I put through 220 rounds: Magtech 115 fmj and Federal 115 jhp at the range and about 20% failed to fire on first pull but fired on the 2nd. There were some jams. but after the first 100 shots all straightened out.
I was more inaccurate with this firearm than I was with previous rentals: m&p sd9ve and cz p-07.
Overall the gun feels good in my hand and its weight and heft are nice. It's my first handgun and I will enjoy taking care of it; looking forward to learning to shoot as accurately as others have described. It's a very good concealable carry.....

When I first examined my PT111G2 I thought OK I have to clean it as it was covered with a coating of ? from the factory. The gun was easy to disassemble. Putting it back together I noticed a lot of light between the rail and the bottom of the gun. When I pulled the slide back I noticed the barrel was very loose. Now I thought I had purchased a piece of crap. I have several other Taurus guns and thought how can this be? So I took it to the range where all my fears were extinguished. It felt good in my hand and the trigger pull is a dream. It shot as straight as my old hands could manage. Recoil was all but absent. Not one jam or failure to fire. I have put several hundred rounds thru this pistol with no problems and that is using new ammo and reloads of various brands. The gun is a keeper. Buds was their usual efficient selves. Thank you Taurus and Thank you Buds.

I was looking for an inexpensive but reliable 9mm pistol and, after reading extensive reviews, decided to give the Taurus Millennium G2 a try. After a careful cleaning and examination, I headed to the range where it shot accurately at 15 yards, 9 out of 12 in the red. The balance is excellent, it fits my smaller hand perfectly and the safety and magazine release are where you can reach it without looking. Everything about this pistol was very intuitive and, frankly, I was quickly shooting more accurately than I thought I should. After about 500 or more rounds, I have never experienced a fail to fire, using a variety of range ammunition and even one clip of hollow points, just for the experience. After getting my CWP (and a holster,) I find it an ideal carry pistol.

Initially, I had some problem with the slide being too stiff, but after two magazines, it felt pretty good. The magazines themselves had a stiff spring and at first I thought they only held 10 rounds! Fortunately, after a month of leaving them loaded, the springs relaxed enough so that they are easy enough to load by hand. I have compared it to several other pistols at the range and I would buy another one with absolutely no regrets. This is a remarkably good pistol, in my opinion.

First off, the trigger really impressed me. Striker fired triggers vary quite a bit and for something that fits very well in a medium sized hand, it's just as clean as most Glocks I've fired right out of the box. Still need to put it through it's paces but so far it seems like a contender for a compact carry or a backup. 300 rounds and only 1 ftf with really old UMC ammo.

I read a lot of reviews both good and bad, before deciding to make this purchase and for the price, I just had to give it a shot, literally. For all the features that come on this gun is great like the trigger safety, manual safety, great grip, adjustable sights, loaded chamber indicator, double stack mags 12+1(for a sub compact 9mm that is an awesome feature), front picatinny rail. Many other expensive guns don't have all these features and if they do you will easily pay twice the price or more.

The only issue I had was when I first took it out to the range I was getting a lot of FTF(failure to feed) it would only do it when I physically racked the slide, it wouldn't completely seat into the battery but a good push of the slide would fix the issue. It didn't do it while the gun was firing and cycling on its own. So when I got back home I did a thourogh cleaning and the mag springs where still tight so perhaps that is what was causing the FTF. After leaving the mags completely loaded for a day I did a cycle test with some snap caps and it performed flawlessly afterwards. So just make sure to completely clean the gun and apply some compression on the mag springs if you experience this and it will be a great ccw to use. As always thanks Bud's for the excellent service!
