Born of the traditions of the Old West, the Rough Rider maintains much of the look and feel of the legendary Single Action Army revolver, only in a scaled down version. Chambered for the .22LR and .22 Magnum cartridges, the Rough Rider is manufactured using state-of-the-art precision machinery that assures its accuracy and reliability. The cylinder lock-up is tight and the perfect timing of the action makes for a handgun that will put its shots where you want 'em.
The machined barrel is micro-threaded and inserted into the frame for the optimal barrel/cylinder gap to give you maximum ammunition performance. A hammer block mounted in the recoil shield provides extra protection and has a red dot indicator that lets you know when the gun is ready for action. A new, more authentic looking flat-sided hammer paired with new exotic cocobolo grips, makes the Rough Rider both functional and handsome. There are also other grip materials available, plus finish options include the attractive and durable Smooth Silver Satin. When it comes to the Rough Rider there are no shortcuts taken!

Ideal for hunting, plinking or western action shooting, let the Rough Rider be your choice in a new rimfire revolver.

Want a great little shooter in 22LR, 22 Short, 22 WMR and learn how to use a Colt style revolver this is it. It is a terrific revolver, nice finish especially for the price, no real. It shoots accurately and the sights are on target. It took me know time to find point of aim at 9 and 15 yards. The Rough Rider is well made and not cheap feeling at all. It is better than expected. It is a great plinking revolver, training tool, and overall great revolver for first time shooters as well as experienced shooters. I shot 200 rounds through the first day. Shoots the cheap bulk ammo as well as better. Bud\'s help by getting it to me in 2 days and my FFL helped inspect the firearm. Be sure to clean before firing as it is definitely test fired at the factory.

Bud\'s is excellent to deal with. I am very happy that I bought this revolver. Takes a little getting used to changing cylinders,The quirky little safety etc. but I put hundreds of rounds of new and old cheap and expensive round nose and hollowpoint ammo through this pistol and it just shoots great, not one misfire. Really decent accuracy with fixed sites right out of the box. It\'s no Blackhawk or Smith & Wesson finish wise but the mechanics seem excellent and I just like the gun. I will certainly be buying more heritage brand guns and I\'ll probably buy them from Buds.

Enjoy the gun. My grandson consistently put a three inch circle at ten and twelve yards. Fun to shoot. Out to twenty yards, it was still placing rounds in center of mass. Borrowed an identical gun from my son-in law and was pleased with the way it handled. More importantly the way my wife could handle it. She is completely comfortable with it and able to point and shoot at seven yards very accurately. Some people frown on a 22 as a home defence gun but it is infinitely better to put six rounds where you need them than shooting holes in the walls and television and windows because you cannot handle the recoil. She is very pleased with it as well. Had some trouble with Buds this time. Charged my card and never shipped the gun. Had to reorder. Having said that, I have ordered numerous guns from Buds and never had a single problem. I will continue to order from them because of their dependability and price. Everyone is entitled to one mistake.

The instructions above warn us not to comment on other products, but I bought 3 guns at one time, I have adult sons and thought this would be a great hobby we could share. This Rough Rider was by far the least expensive purchase. In comparison, it is the one that became everyone's favorite! I was nurtured on John Wayne Movies and felt obliged to purchase a western fire arm. My son opened the box and his jaw dropped... "Just like Cowboys and Indians Dad!"
The ATI 1911 looked great and the.40 Kahr compact I bought was smooth and slicker than snail-snot but we all fought over who was next with the Rough Rider!
It's fixed sights were perfectly set. making it a dead-on tack driver. It felt soooo cool to hold and we even enjoyed the single action trigger. The trigger was crisp, expected and even fun to watch in action with the one inch flame exiting the barrel for every shot.
The stock is beautiful but the black metal finish showed wear after only 50 shots, but I wouldn't trade it for the world, and I haven't even tried the magnum loads!
I haven't handled a side arm since being in the service. I think this was one of the best paternal idea's I've ever had! My youngest (at 30) never fired a weapon in his life yet managed a 2" circle at 7 yards... more than once!
Can't pass up this story:
When we showed up at a brand new gun store and range, we were filling out forms when we heard a shot! My youngest is in a wheel chair and the 100 psi tire tube burst and sounded just like a rim-fire cartridge. There had to be close to a hundred customers buying guns on opening week at the Target Shooting Academy and more than half the shoppers reached for their CCW! I know there are many Americans that would have felt uncomfortable at that moment, but I've got to tell you
that never in my whole life, have I felt safer than, at that moment in time!
Thank you Buds... I'll be buying again soon I think.

The gun works fine but, when you take it apart for cleaning, you should just send it to a gunsmith. It's impossible to get this thing back together without breaking or stripping something. Buy it if you like it but, never fully dissemble it. there are no spare parts anywhere.
