I wanted a 22LR/22Mag revolver for my collection. This firearm met my criteria of model type and price. I used Youtube to get an idea of which six shooter I wanted. I took the rough Rider to my range and fired both 22LR and 22Mag (22Mag is harder to find in the Tampa Bay area that 22LR), so I did not fire as many 22MAG as 22LR. The firearm is a good shooter. I am no target expert but all shots at 7 yds were 9's. The little six shooter needed no adjustments. The process for changing the cylinders is a breeze. The workmanship is very good. Nice bluing on the barrel. I put a touch of gun oil on the ejector because it was a little rough after the first six rounds. Heritage's safety is a neat way of protecting the firing pin so I can dry fire the pistol. The pistol fits nicely in my hand.

Buds' delivery was quick as I have come to expect. If you want an inexpensive six shooter revolver, the Heritage line is something you should consider. I am glad I did.

I own several guns, but this is the first gun I've bought from Bud's. So I'm always a little nervous ordering a gun from a new dealer. I received the gun in ten working days, with no problems, so no complaints there. I wanted a good quality gun for a low price to take to the river and to the woods, without having to be overly careful about scratching it up. I got exactly that. It looks good and shoots where you point it. Good little gun.

Great firing little Pistol. Got to shoot 100 rounds of .22 LR and 50 rounds of WMR through it today and I am very pleased with the way it shoots and is put together. For the price of these little .22's and how well they are put together you really can't beat them.

The gun is beautiful and very very accurate. I love the grips. At my LGS I handled a Cimaron plinkerton which was a little more expensive and the Cimaron wasn't even close tot he quality of the finish on the Rough Rider. The Cimaron's plunger thing felt awful and gritty, on the rough rider it is smooth. I am so glad that I spent a few extra buck to get the finish I wanted and the 22mag cylinder. It seems obvious that this gun will last as long as I do so it would have been a shame to be regretting not ponying up ten years from now. I highly recommend this gun. On mine the plunger tube is blued, not case hardened, and the case hardening looks more like a golish bronze than the silvery color I the picture. For that reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5.

The gun shipped in 3 business days, thanks buds! Arrived sooner than I expected. As for the gun itself, the finish is beautiful as are the grips. The cylinder locks up and rotates flawlessly. I am personally not a fan of the safety, but you can just leave it off all the time. I put 50 rounds through it at the range no failures. At 20 yards I was able to shoot within 1 inch of the head of a nail on a piece of plywood with all 6 rounds consistently. Very impressed with the smooth trigger pull, very easy to be accurate with. Great small varmint gun, glad I went with the 6-1/2" over the 4". I would recommend you purchase one of these guns!
