My first experience with Buds and my first Hi-Power (clone). The firearms itself was in better shape than expected. There were some light pitting, scratches, dents and dings. However, everything seemed to be 100% functional. The trigger was MEGA gritty. It needs some work to get up to carry/shooter standards. Buds was smooth sailing, but a little slower than I expected. My check cleared quickly, but it took a while to get shipped out. However, like I stated earlier -it was smooth.

First I would like to say great service and shipping from Buds, as always. The firearm itself is well above the "fair" rating it was given. I would rate it a 9 of 10 myself. There was no rust, pitting, or gouges. Even the wood grips looked almost new. The bluing was not worn and only had a few small scratches. The best part was this was an original clone that will interchange parts with the Browning so I was amazed that a first gen was in this good shape. But as good shape as it is, it still isn't a Browning. The FEG is fine on exterior but the interior is not as polished as a lot of guns, it's pretty rough. Still, I would buy another at this price and recommend anyone else do too.

Definitely worthwhile! (but there is an important issue about half way down) It was a bit rough looking when I got it, a fair bit of surface rust and actual dust bunnies/spiderweb in the barrel. It cleaned up pretty well when i was prepping it for the range. There was very little pitting and a nice polish on the slide after the rust came off (along with some bluing, but that will fix). I also needed to smooth out the corners of the beavertail which had been banged around a bit and were kind of sharp the way my hand fit the grip. Took it to the range and the only issue I had was that sometimes the last round shell casing bounced back into the slide. Just the last round. weird. Not sure if that was with the original or the promag magazine i bought to go with the gun. The front sight had been filed down a bit but it shot to point of aim and held to a pretty tight group. The only real issue is that it fails the Browning Hi Power click test. http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_5_39/114948_The_Browning_High_P-
ower_and_the_Click_Test.html If I had known about this when i got the gun I might have sent it back and tried for another one. The way I found out about it was that after i got home i was testing the safety by pulling the trigger of the gun (yes safety checked) with the safety on and the trigger moved back a bit but the hammer did not drop so I figured it was ok. Then I took the safety off and the hammer dropped to half cock. And this happened every time i pulled back on the trigger while the safety was on. After I found the article I linked above I checked for the specific issue. Hammer back, safety on, pull trigger (which moves a bit ) and you can see the top of the sear pop up past the curve of the base of the hammer. Pull the hammer back at that point and it clicks into full sear engagement like it should have still been. Take off the safety without pulling the hammer back and the hammer drops to half cock. So it looks like I need a new sear, sear pin and maybe safety and safety spring to get this thing up to 100%. It is fine for the range but not so much for carry or loaning to anyone else. Still, I have wanted one of these since I was a kid and otherwise it works great. plus I get to build some gunsmith chops by trying to fix it. Overall pretty good and I got it as fast as I have gotten anything from Buds.

Fired 54 rounds so far, this thing drives tacs. It came with one magazine, rusted and dusted, took it home, cleaned it up, and then straight to the range, and it drove nails for me. Quarter inch group at 15 feet. Best 300 dollars I've ever spent.

Functions like the service firearm that it is. Not pretty but does the job. Trigger is gritty and has too much play but a trigger job will resolve that. For the price, its a good deal.

Gun was in pretty good shape. Much better than I anticipated. No real issues with rust or excessive wear or damage. A few dings here and there and the grips are worn and need replaced. FIred 75 rounds out of the box with nothing but a little oil. Not a single malfunction. Accurate with a nice solid feel when shooting. Would buy again at this price in a heartbeat. After a thorough cleaning the blued finish looks pretty damn good for its age and with new grips will be a fine addition to my collection. Buds as always shipped fast.

I bought two of these. Great price and very fast delivery. Both guns are in very good shape. Buds is top notch as usual.

Far better than advertised and 'way better than I expected - at least Very Good condition. I ordered the FEG on-line on Sunday and took delivery today, Thursday. Thanks Bud! I'm a happy camper.

I received the pistol almost a month ago today. There is serious pitting on the backstrap, top of the slide, and around the barrel, the pistol was also missing a rear sight. Honestly, fair was a generous assessment of the pistol but it is 100% functional, it fires and the safety works so I cant complain. The backsight was a hassle, I informed buds and they said I could return it but there was no guarentee of the next pistol having a rear sight. Fortunantly Numrich gun corp was able to help me aquire the asininly rare sight. Overall I wouldnt recommend it for anything more than a beater that you wouldnt trust your life too.

I ordered this gun as a beater gun I would not care about if something happened to it. I was expecting a gun with many nicks and dings with a very worn finish. The gun I got was in almost new condition. There were three small lightly pitted spots on the top of the slide from where rust may have once been. The back strap and grips look like they were carried in a holster maybe three days. The finish was amazing for a surplus gun at this price. It was almost a mirror finish other than the three spots I mentioned above. The bore looks brand new; its super bright with strong rifling. I would guess my gun sat in an armory of a military unit or police department somewhere in Europe for years and never was issued. I have a surplus FN hi-power and this FEG looks a thousand times better. I don't know if all of them are this nice but mine sure was. For the price, I am extremely thrilled with this gun.
