Born of the traditions of the Old West, the Rough Rider maintains much of the look and feel of the legendary Single Action Army revolver, only in a scaled down version. Chambered for the .22LR and .22 Magnum cartridges, the Rough Rider is manufactured using state-of-the-art precision machinery that assures its accuracy and reliability. The cylinder lock-up is tight and the perfect timing of the action makes for a handgun that will put its shots where you want 'em.
The machined barrel is micro-threaded and inserted into the frame for the optimal barrel/cylinder gap to give you maximum ammunition performance. A hammer block mounted in the recoil shield provides extra protection and has a red dot indicator that lets you know when the gun is ready for action. A new, more authentic looking flat-sided hammer paired with new exotic cocobolo grips, makes the Rough Rider both functional and handsome. There are also other grip materials available, plus finish options include the attractive and durable Smooth Silver Satin. When it comes to the Rough Rider there are no shortcuts taken!

Ideal for hunting, plinking or western action shooting, let the Rough Rider be your choice in a new rimfire revolver.

This is a very nice revolver for the price. A good revolver for both plinking or small game hunting with inexpensive ammo when you can find it lol. I have tried both the 22 lr and 22 mag and the revolver is accurate so far out to about 25-30 yards with no real adjustments needed to the sights. I haven't shot any farther than this yet because of the long snowy winter, but I will be soon with the coming of spring. I must commend Buds for their awesome fast service and shipping, the best I have found so far and would like to thank them for that. This was my first purchase with Buds and expect there will be many to come in the future. Thanks Buds!

After waiting 5 weeks for the gun (not Bud's fault, I understand the shortage)I go off to the range. The gun shot very high. With the sights adjusted as far down as possible it still shot 1.5 inches high at 22 ft.. I contacted Heritage and returned the gun. Another 3 week wait. Heritage sent back a target shot at 12 yds. still 1.5 inches high with the sights still bottomed out. According to Heritage this is within "factory specs." Now if this is the best Heritage can do, I leave it up to you to decide if you want a gun from Heritage. I will say it is a nice looking gun, but I didn't buy it for looks, I bought it to target shoot.
