I bought this gun at the beginning of 2014 as a range piece. For the most part I plink with it, shooting various reloads of whatever I have laying around. It's definitely a well built gun and cleans up nice. Once I received the gun, I immediately put some wood grips on it. Thus far I have probably shot between 2,000 and 2,500 rounds through it and it's been great. I did have some malfunctions that were ammo-caused.
I'm a big proponent of the decocker--I like them on my other guns too. But note, that decocking this pistol with the decocker lowers the hammer down only part way (maybe 2/3 down). So this pistol actually has three trigger pulls--full DA, decocked DA, and SA.
If you're looking for a full-sized, high capacity, steel pistol, you can't go wrong with this one. The CZ-75 handles well and is a fun, comfortable gun to shoot. And 16 rounds in a mag is a nice touch--I've also got a 26er. The sights are a bit small and unremarkable, but that can be changed. Personally, I feel that this is one of those classic guns that everyone who likes firearms should own--it's just no-frills reliable firepower. Lastly, bits of unburned powder can get stuck in the trigger mechanism, so when cleaning the gun I like to blow that area out with air or with an aerosol cleaner.

This is a great gun. The workmanship is first class. I have only been to the range one time with this gun. The accuracy of this gun is as good as I expected from a CZ. By that I mean it is an A+. The muzzle flip is very low and therefore the gun is very easy to reaquire the target for a second shot. The recoil is very low for a 9MM because the gun is all metal not plastic. This makes for a very accurate gun. Low muzzle flip and light recoil. It is a full size gun. The gun is not to be considered as a carry gun. Believe me, it is both to large and to heavy to carry for most people. I am speaking for myself because I do carry a gun. But, I would not consider this one for carry. I currently have 3 carry guns. It is a great range gun or a good gun for home defense or a car gun. You can pay twice as much for a gun but, you cannot get a better gun.

I finally purchased my first CZ, why did I wait so long? This is one amazing pistol. The first day out I was printing 3.5 inch, 10 round groups, offhand, at 45 feet. At 75 feet they opened up to just 6 inches, all dead center around the X ring . I fired a variety of handloads 115 and 124 grain, and factories. About 100 rounds total and no issues of any kind. Very manageable recoil, short trigger pull in single, longer in double of course, but a very easy squeeze. Mine came with the POLICE stamped on left side of the slide, loaded chamber indicator, lanyard loop, stainless barrel, and drop free 2 magazines. About 34 ounces unloaded, the same as my Taurus PT-92, but it doesn't feel as heavy, probably because it is simply so solid. Order one, you won't regret it.

First I think I got a very good price. I used Bud's layaway, very nice. It worked out keeping the gun till I sold a pistol in order to buy the CZ-75. The Pistol is VERY well built ! It shoots very well. Trigger is a little hard, but I think it needs a good brake in period. This is the first of 3, 9mm that I can hit a target with. Its a shooter !
